5 Things You Should Start Doing Right This Moment

As much as I feel like a mom writing this, these things to do every day could vastly improve your life. Not like winning a million dollars, but more along the lines of ‘wow I feel so much better after I did that.’ So just think about it, ponder your thoughts, maybe dabble in a few of these things from this list if you want. But really, I suffer from anxiety and when I choose to plan and do some of these things, I feel ten times better about my life. So listen up kids ‘cause this is it the list that your about to read is de-lic-ious (it’s not delicious, it’s practical… sorry Fergie).

Choose a Theme Song

What? A theme song? Hear me out every great 90’s cartoon had an awesome, get stuck in your head theme song, which made the show way better than it actually was. (Sorry "Hey Arnold" fans) So pick a song that gets you hype that you can listen to when your about to walk into a really hard test, have an all-nighter or just when you’re trying to get pumped up. Mine is ‘Stronger’ by Kanye West and I would ten out of ten recommend.

Get ACTIVE

Working out can suck. So maybe don’t go to the gym. But move your body because it was given to you for a reason. Go on a hike, go kayaking, go on a walk, lift some weights bro. When your active your mind becomes clear, your body feels good and you get an endorphin high. WOW! A high that doesn’t cost money and is good for you!? Crazy!

Talk to Someone

Yes, I know that we love to sit in our beds, watch Netflix and roll around in our sweats. But go talk to someone and hang out with them. Being alone all the time is not good for you. You need people in your life as much as you need alone time. So drink some coffee if you need to to get the energy to go out and be social. Just think about all the life experiences you're missing out on by you binge-watching Orange Is The New Black. The episode will be there for you later.

Be Grateful

You're reading this right now which means you have technology at your fingertips, eyes to see this screen, and a brain to read these words. So take some time for yourself out of each day to think about all the things you have in your life. Whether that is a car to drive, ears to hear, a beating heart, or friends to hang out with, you’re pretty lucky to live in this kind of world. Wow, we all have so much we take for granted. Appreciate your life even if you feel like it’s in shambles.

Plan it out

We were given planners from elementary school to high school to use them-to plan out how we were going to accomplish something, even if it was just our algebra homework. But now we have moved on to bigger and better things to plan. Like what we want to do with our lives. So set some small goals, maybe some big goals, and write it down. Each day look at it and do something about it. As Drake once said, YOLO.

So there's all of it, I 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
