5. Cast Members
Before you ask, no, a cast member does not necessarily mean someone in costume who is friends with a character. Cast members are all the people who work for Disney including the ride operators, food vendors, character attendants and everyone else in the parks. They add something so special to the experience. Disney cast members always take great care in making sure that you and your family are having the most magical day possible. They provide you with magical moments and fun memories that you can’t get anywhere else. They are the magic makers and without them, Disney would be lifeless.
4. Characters
There is nothing like meeting your childhood hero or favorite princess. Nothing. I remember seeing Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" for the first time. I was so excited to talk to her and get a picture with her. Though some might say character hunting is just for the little kids, it still makes me starstruck seeing Aladdin walking down the street or waving to Mickey during a parade.
3. Rides/shows
Obviously, most people go to amusement parks to ride and see the attractions. It makes sense that these make the list. At Disney, the rides are different from anywhere else. They take you into a different world or let you experience something you’ve just seen in the movies. I think the special part is that they aren’t all thrill rides. They don’t have to be in order to still be fun and worthwhile.
2. Food
The food at Walt Disney World is nothing short of fantastic. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Whether it’s quick service, snack stands or sit-down dining, they somehow manage to make all the food taste like it’s been cooked by a world-class chef. And there is such a variety of food as well. If you want to try something new, there are plenty of choices to pick from. The food is not what most people come for, but it is certainly something to stay for.
1. The Magic
The number one best thing about Walt Disney World is the atmosphere. From the cast members to the attractions, to the food and everything in between, Disney takes so much care to make sure that every bit of the parks is magical. There is so much attention to detail, it’s insane. Even the ride lines are fun, with games or decorations that make you feel as if you are part of whatever ride your boarding. The feeling you get while walking through the castle or down Main Street is unlike any other. It’s honestly indescribable.
