We all have high expectations for summer and we also say we're going to do so much when in reality we sit on the couch and watch Netflix until it's time to start school again. To get the most out of summer start by trying to check things off your bucket list or actually do the things you say you're going to do. Here are five things that you need to try to do before summer is over. Step out of your comfort zone and just say yes.
1. Go Skydiving
Skydiving is something that is on everyone's bucket lists even if your terrified of heights. When you say skydiving everyone always seems to make it a big deal and talk about how scary it is, but I'm here to tell you that you just have to do it. It is the ultimate adventure that you can't even describe and this is something you can only do during the nice weather months. Your strapped to a person that does this for a living. You have to remember all they do is jump out of planes every single day. You are strapped to them the moment you get in the plane. They push you to the edge of the door and then on the count of three they jump out and you just happened to be strapped to them while you float back down to earth.
2. Complete a Mud Race
Running a mud race can be one of the hardest things you will ever do, but it is also one of the most rewarding. It's fun and challenging all at the same time. You'll be running anywhere from three to ten miles with various amount of obstacles, but it's not as bad as it sounds. It's just something everyone should experience even if your not into fitness. If you do it with someone it can also be the perfect bonding experience.
3. Go To a Concert
There is no environment quite like being at a concert. It is kind of like escaping for a night. Your with your friends or significant other drinking your favorite beverage listening to one of your favorite artists and it doesn't get much better than that. Since it's summer the concert is probably outside making it ten times more fun.
4. Take a Road Trip
Taking road trips can be one of the most fun things you'll ever do. Your more than likely going to a fun place with fun people and it's alone time to just be yourself and bond with the people in the car with you. You can act crazy and just enjoy each other in a setting that doesn't happen very often. If your traveling with your significant other it can show you a lot about the person because peoples true colors will show after hours in a car.
5. Attend a Sporting Event
Even if you don't like sports just go. It's an excuse to dress for a specific occasion and spend time with whoever you bring. If you really think about it no matter what sporting event you chose everyone is happy to be there so it's a fun environment. You can get brownie points if you take your boyfriend and this is something you typically don't do. So grab a beer and sit back and relax.
If you actually do the things you said you were going to do you wont feel as bad when summer is over. You wont feel like you just let four months go by without doing anything. Even if you work or take classes during summer make sure you find time for yourself and make the most out of it.
