With the beginning of the semester starting, that means it's the start of day drinking, bar nights, dining hall food and late-night munchies. Every person who works hard to stay in shape knows college is the hardest place to do so. Here are the top five hardest reasons to stay in shape at college.
1. Alcohol.
Of course, going out can be fun without alcohol, but anytime alcohol is involved, the night is automatically more fun. If only beer belly's didn't exist and liquor was calorie free.
2. Late-night munchies.
When your favorite frat party gets shut down and all your friends decide pizza is the way to go. Or convincing yourself that you're soooo hungry and need food before you go to bed, otherwise you'll get sick. That's definitely just something we tell ourselves so we feel less guilty about the chicken fingers and fries we just drunkenly devoured.
3. Wawa.
Of course, there's time to cook a healthy meal and plan healthy snacks, but when Jimmy Johns and Wawa are starring at you on your drive home, it makes you second guess spending the time to cook when someone can make a sandwich for you.
4. Drink specials and half-price apps.
How do you say no to $2 Margarita's and half-price nachos at the bar?
5. The crowded gym.
So, the night before you may have eaten half of a Domino's pie, it's okay, though you just tell yourself you'll go to the gym in the morning. Then you get to the gym and can barely get on any machine and last night's hangover is starting to kick in after smelling the weight room.
Of course there are plenty of ways to stay in shape during college, but every college student at some point has used one of these excuses for letting themselves fall off track a little bit.
