5 Signs You Were A Dog In A Past Life

Why can't I still be furry and adorable?

5 Signs You Were A Dog In A Past Life

Dogs are man's best friend. That's what they say anyway, and personally I think they're right. Dogs are cuddly, forgiving and just down right cute. No matter what your opinion is, you probably know some people who love them. But do you know anyone who was a dog in a past life?

Maybe you never thought about it until now. Maybe you know a lot of people like this, maybe even you were a dog in your past life. "But how do I know?!" I know, it's incredibly exciting to think about, and you want to know right away.

Luckily for you, I have compiled a list of signs. If you fit these, chances are pretty high you were once a cute, fluffy creature.

1. You love car rides.

Ask a dog to go "bye-byes" and their ears perk up, their tail starts wagging and they start running around in excited circles. Once they're in the car, they are so thrilled, especially if the window is open and they can stick their heads out to fully see the world. I also get excited for car rides and am always down to ride somewhere with someone. Road trip lover for life.

2. You're very forgiving.

Dogs don't usually hold grudges for too long. If you step on their tail or paws, chances are you'll feel bad about it for longer than they are even upset by it. Like dogs, I can't stay mad at people for very long. I usually think of something that I just have to tell them within a few hours.

3. People find it hard to stay mad at you

On the flip side, people can't really stay mad at dogs (or you) for too long either. Did your dog destroy one of your shoes? You'll be mad for about an hour and then you'll hurry to let them out of their cage for cuddles. I've had friends tell me "who could be mad at you? You're nice and adorable!" So I guess people can't stay mad at me for too long, a very helpful trait I've carried over.

4. You're very playful.

Dogs are one of the most carefree animals in the world. They love to be around people, play fetch and other fun games and even nibble playfully on their humans. Personally, I love being goofy and making people around me laugh. The more fun the better, and it's awesome being able to make people smile.

5. Constant display of affection

Dogs show their affection 99.9% of the time. Whether it be with their owners, other dogs or any random person they come in contact with, they are always smiling, cuddly and puppy eyed. My affectionate side transferred over into my love for hugs, compassion for my friends and leaning my chin on my boyfriend and giving him my version of puppy loving eyes. (Which may or may not mean I want something, depending on the day.)

So, if you love dogs more than most people, (either way you take that sentence) there may be a special reason for that. You may just love dogs because they're cute, pure and fun. Or maybe you love dogs because you once belonged with them.

No matter what, we can almost all agree that nothing is more exciting than random dog encounters, especially in the middle of campus. Woof woof, friends.

Marching Through March

Some appreciation for the month of March.

I love the entire year. Well, for the most part. I'm not a big fan of Winter, but even then, every month has something that's pretty great. November? Thanksgiving. December? Winter Holidays. January? New Year's. February? Valentine's and Single Awareness Day. May? Existential dread during finals. But for me, March has always been my favorite month of the year, and for good reason.

Dear Los Angeles...With Love,

After packing two oversized suitcases and two carryons with all the boho chic clothes I thought I needed to travel across the country for my dream internship, I quickly realized that although I may look like I belong out in the entertainment capital of the world there was a lot more to it than Free People dresses and fanny packs.

Dear Los Angeles...With Love,
September: Los Angeles

Ever since I was younger I dreamed of moving out to California. There was something so amusing about being in the hub of it all that bursts with passion and artistry wherever you look. After a trip to LA when I was a sophomore in high school for dance, I fell even more in love with this utopia of a city and from that moment on, Los Angeles was that light at the end of the tunnel.
