I must admit that I am cliché and absolutely adore fall. I don't understand how other people just cannot love it. In an attempt to persuade some of you other season loving people to love fall just as much as I do, I have put together a list of 10 reasons as to why I love fall.
1. Cool vs. hot
Obviously, this was going to be a big point, but we cannot ignore it. Summer in Texas gets up to the high 90s on a good day, and other days it's 100+ degrees. In fall, however, it cools down to 70s and 80s and makes going outside enjoyable. The humidity doesn't get that bad because the heat has subsided just even the tiniest bit. Overall, it gets colder and you can go outside without dripping in sweat.
2. FOOOOOOTBALLLLLL!
I am from Texas therefore football is not just a sport but more like a religion. Seriously if you don't love football and you're from my hometown people probably think you're just a little bit off. I love to go to the game and see all the bright lights, hear the bands play, and just have great conversations with friends. It's not too hot outside so you can actually sit and enjoy the game instead of being doused in sweat. You get to cheer on your favorite team whether you go to an actual game or simply watch them on tv.
3. Cute clothes
I know all of you girls can relate to this one. When fall comes around we get to wear our cute yet comfy clothes. A girl's best friend are her leggings and a big sweater. Well you cannot wear that in summer unless you want to pass out due to the horrible heat. Fall you can wear the darker colors and not seem like "the dark one" as we call my little sister who always wears dark colors year round. So get ready to rock your olive green sweater and break out your UGGs.
4. Scenery
I am a very scenic person so I fall in love with our Earth during fall. The leaves changing colors and falling on to the ground just make the places around me feel more beautiful. I love the "crunch" of the leaves when your walking or playing in a yard full of them. Once the leaves start changing take a moment to sit down and just stare at the world around you and realize it's beauty.
5. People Change
Now don't shut me out on this one just yet. I don't know if it's just me but once fall rolls around people just tend to be happier because everyone has settled into the groove of school and maybe getting use to the real world. People just tend to be kinder to me when it's fall. Again, I'm not sure if it's just me and my outlook on people and the world, but something changes in the fall. Call me crazy, but fall is a magical season.
Fall is a lovely season. Just take time to appreciate it and it may become your favorite season as well.
