Being a girl has perks and negatives that boys sometimes do not understand unless they experienced it. After many years of living with my older brother I began to wonder what it would be like to be a boy for a day. I will admit, people watching in college has only encouraged my curiosity. These are my top five reasons for wanting to experience a boys life for a day!
1) Being able to urinate anywhere at any moment.
Boys will never understand the frantic and painful feeling of having to hold in your pee while sprinting to a bathroom. Of course when you finally arrive at the ladies room there is a line.
2) Being able to settle fights quickly.
Who likes drama? I certainly do not. It always seems that if boys have drama they settle it fast and act as if nothing happened two hours later. Girls will remember the day someone gave us a dirty look back in the seventh grade.
3) Having the ability to display swag in sports.
In women’s sports the referees, umpires, and officials are always quick to yell at players for taking too long or for over-celebrating. Celebrating and showing who you truly are as an athlete is sometimes the most exciting part of the game. I think no matter the gender we should all be able to celebrate and take our time in a respectful manner!
4) Having the ability to get ready in 10 minutes or less.
Don’t get me wrong, some boys take their time each day but for the most part, they can just throw on some clothes and go. It will be a miracle the day that I can do my hair, makeup, and get dressed in under 30 minutes.
5) Not having to spend $35 to $65 on bras that are bound to stretch out after one year.
Bra shopping might be one of my favorite types of shopping but the amount of money it costs for one bra is depressing. After you finally splurge on those bras you receive coupons in the mail three days later for 10 dollars off.
