“Don’t let the fear of striking out stop you from playing the game"
When you are uncomfortable with or afraid of something, it is extremely important to ask yourself why. Why are you scared? Why are other people not scared? I think that doing things that you aren’t comfortable with or that scare you is the only way to live. You can’t live your whole life in fear of “what if.” Just do it! Once you conquer your fears and expand your comfort zone you will become more and more adventurous and be able to truly live your life to the fullest.
1. Freedom.
Once you take a chance and do things outside the boundaries of your comfort zone, you are set free. The stress from fear that used to hinder you from getting out there and experiencing all life has to offer disappears along with your dull and “safe” past. What fun can you have if you live life in trepidation of the worst instead of taking a chance and hoping for the best? And if you do fail, what is the worst that could happen? You can’t learn from your experiences if you are too fearful to even go out there and experience them. You learn to trust yourself and let go of the limits you have set for yourself.
2. Confidence.
Always being hesitant and cautious can stop you from being outgoing. If you are brave enough to look your fears in the face and overcome them, the strength you gain from it will give you the confidence and energy to keep going.

3. Achieving your goals.
We all set goals for ourselves, both long term and short term. But how often do we achieve them? If you don’t have drive and courage even small goals will prove difficult to accomplish. Self-improvement always lies outside of your comfort zone. Learn to challenge yourself rather than to stay where things are simple and easy.

4. Newfound creativity.
When you try new things you might find new skills or accomplish things you never knew you were capable of. You might think you’re un-athletic, but maybe you just haven’t found the right sport. Or maybe you assume you are not smart because you don’t do well in school, when in reality you are very bright in aspects that aren’t stressed in the classroom. You need to explore to discover your talents and work towards your full potential. It's never too late to try something new.

5. Life will open up for you.
When you throw caution out of the window and start to really live you are less confined by fear and liberated by experiencing life and finding happiness. Nobody wants to live in fear, so break down those worries one by one. Then you will find, on the other side of the wall that you built up with your fears, a happier and more care-free world. You can start to live your life rather than watch others live from the safe sidelines.
