The world we live in is damaged, the society we live in is corrupt, the people we talk to are lost, and the things we do to survive is hopeless. This is the world that children are being born into, nowadays, and that's just sad.

Too many people are worrying about each other when they don't even know who they are. To the people out there who know who they are, then good for you -- but there are those of us who have no idea. Like me, for example. I have no idea who I am or if everything around me is right for me.

I don't know my sexual interests.

I wouldn't go as far to call myself bisexual, maybe not just yet, since I don't know what I am. I just know that right now, I have a boyfriend and I'm happy with him. However, feelings are feelings, if something were to happen between me and my partner to where we broke up I would search for another guy to date. What if a female were to come around and we both grow feelings for each other?

The heart yearns for what it yearns for and it may always be worth the try. Honestly, though, what's the big deal? Love was meant for everyone and there are no rules about who deserves love and who doesn't. As for me, I'm open to all forms of love as far as I'm concerned. Does that make me bisexual? I don't know but right now, I'm happy and have no wishes in pursuing that side of me in order to find out who I am.

I don't know my religious preference.

Religion is just one of those topics that you can never talk to someone about because it is so fragile. I have met only a few people on this world who will have personal, realistic conversations about religions. Personally, I don't know what I believe since I switch it all of the time. I believe in God, I believe in angels, I believe in reincarnation, I believe in ghosts, I believe in demons, I believe in evil, I believe in good, and I believe there is such a thing as destiny.

I also believe that this world we were put in was created through science, that there was something enormous that happened and thus we were created. I call myself "The Daughter of Science" instead of "The Daughter of the Lord," however, I don't know which is true. Overall, I believe it is mankind's destiny to find out the truth and until then, let's all just believe what we want and switch it up as much as we like. I just wish people weren't killed over their religious beliefs.

I don't know what clothes I should wear.

The topic of clothing is such a huge issue for me, especially with the clothing sizes. However, the sizes are no concern to this article, it's the styles. Everyone is supposed to have their own specific style, which I don't know what mine is. I like the preppy dresses that girls are supposed to wear but I also like the edgy, ripped jeans inside of Hot Topic. I like the high-top basketball sneakers that jocks wear and the suspenders that nerds wear.

There's also the way of gender clothes, I prefer wearing boy clothes over female clothing since I can have pockets and no purse. I don't like purses, they're a nuisance to me unless I need to carry a feminine product around. Guy clothing keeps me warm, it has pockets, it's comfy, and they always run larger on me. I like big clothes that I can hide in and feel tiny in since I'm not a petite little girl.

I also like girl clothing for times when I don't want to feel tiny. I certainly don't want to feel big, but I want to feel sexy. I want to feel like I have a body that makes me worth something and that makes people want to look at me. That's where girl clothing is nice, because I can wear tight jeans that show off my "curves" and high heeled shoes to show of my legs, makeup to show off my eyes, and one shoulder crop tops to show off whatever else they're supposed to show off.

Overall, though, I have no idea what clothes I should wear so I wear them all. I don't want to be defined by my clothes, but yet I feel like I am. I simply don't know on this one.

I don't know what job is right for me.

I can't even begin to describe my goals in life, I would be talking for days. There's just so much I have to do! I have to be a psychologist, I have to open up shelters, have a soup kitchen, get a house, have pets, a family, I have to try out the military, get multiple degrees, write a few books, open up a business, and so on.

I remember taking surveys in high school about what jobs we would be good at and mine were never accurate because I would like everything that didn't have anything to do with people. I'm extremely shy and talking to people isn't my greatest gift. The catch is, though, I'm a psychology major; I'm going to talk to people as my career. I'm going to have shelters to help people so I'll have to talk to them. I usually tell people that I'm a Starburst, a contradiction because I hate talking to people, but that's what I'm studying.

However, my passion is writing and I write better than I talk. If that was successful, I would do it but I don't think I'd do very well. So, I'll just stick with it as my hobby and talk to people as my career, I think.

I don't know if I have a mental disease.

ADD, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, anorexia and so on. These are the mental disease that the people of society today are diagnosed with on a daily basis. I know a lot of people do have these diseases and they are true, but what about me?

I know I have suffered from depression before and have conquered my suicidal thoughts, I know that I have starved myself for days, I know that some things press my buttons because they aren't in the right order so I have to fix them, and I know that my moods switch faster than a light bulb sometimes. However, does this all mean I have these mental disorders? Do I need to be medicated? Do I need special assistance in college because of these things? I don't know and that's another reason why I want to be a psychologist, so I can know. Honestly, I have no idea if my brain chemistry is messed up, I just know that I have suffered and sometimes I continue to suffer but I don't know what I suffer from.

So, as for me, I don't know a lot. There are people who may know the answer to these questions for themselves and that's great. Don't go walking into other people's shoes or ruining other people's lives if they don't know themselves. No one can make decisions about you but you. I'm taking my time and finding my path through my own experiences. Make your own decisions and see how they feel for you because it is your life and only you can know how to live it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
