So it's recruitment season at the University of Delaware. Whether you are rushing or not, the whole campus is taken over by girls in white t-shirts and DIY name tags ranging from license plates to Starbucks cups. With a good portion of the freshman class dedicating their weekends to attending sorority "parties" and eating almost solely mints for the whole weekend, there's not much going on throughout campus. No fraternities are hosting events because girls aren't coming to them and everyone is pretty much stuck inside watching Netflix for about two weeks straight.
That being said, here are five movies to watch during recruitment to keep you from going stir crazy indoors.
1) Bridesmaids: Although this movie came out a few years ago, it is a total classic. It's a feel good all around Kristen Wiig masterpiece than can really bring a girls night of nail touchups and day debriefs full circle.
2) The Proposal: Much like Bridesmaids, this movie will leave you dying. Even after watching this movie about 15 times, I never get tired of Sandra Bullock and Betty White's dance sequence. If I had to pick a favorite movie scene of all time... it would be that one.
3) Clueless: As if! No but seriously. What's better than a reflection of mid-nineties fashion. Cher is the ultimate fashion icon in her crazy amazing outfits and a digital closet that could kill. It's a perfect movie to watch with the girls with popcorn in hand to totally forget about any not-so-great rounds you had during the day.
4) Pitch Perfect: It's kind of like a sorority... right? A bunch of girls bonding together... so yah! Plus you get the musical aspect and let's be honest - who doesn't like to try their hand at the A Capella routines while they're watching.
5) Pitch Perfect 2: Because you can't just watch one. Honestly.
