An ex is an ex, whether it's from being together for years, weeks, or months. Either way, if that one person you called your significant other ended up cheating on you, or just flat out treated you badly, there are always words you would want to say to them (some not being too appropriate); however, here are five messages I have wanted to tell my ex(es) but never got the chance to really say.
1. You left me with no explanation. If you're going to leave, at least tell me why. It's more painful knowing I wasn't worth an explanation, and it was just easier to leave.
2. I'm going to eventually get over you. It's probably going to take more time than I obviously want, and I bet it's going to take no time for you, but either way I WILL GET OVER YOU.
3. Oh, I'm so sorry you misunderstood. I'm sorry I had to "prove a point" and show you exactly how I could give you exactly everything you asked for and it still wouldn't be enough… I'm done trying.
4. In a way I want to say you wasted my time, but in reality I appreciated the time we were together. I only wish I could erase the pain I felt when things went wrong and you went away.
5. You left me for him/her? Wow, okay good luck with that one.
Most people would think there is nothing good to be said about an ex who did you wrong (obviously because they hurt you and took time that you'll never get back); however, I also wish to tell my ex(es) that the time we were a couple, I got butterflies. I got to call you mine, the person I would spend lazy days with, go on dates with, and enjoy being with. You're also the person who ended up putting me down, and the person who hurt me when I never thought you would. But, I want to thank you. Thank you for making me a stronger person and giving me the guidance to know that I deserve better, and that you were not the one for me. I'm better off without you, but thanks for the memories.
