We all know makeup is an art from in its own right. It allows people to express themselves in a variety of ways. Whether you’re feeling an edgy look, classic, simple or smoky there’s dozens of ways you could create that look. YouTube allows people to share makeup tutorials with the entire world. Here are five of the best makeup artists on YouTube:
1. Jaclyn Hill.
She is our YouTube makeup queen. Jaclyn does amazing looks and is so down to earth. She’s basically your best friend teaching you how to look as fierce as possible. She’s also responsible for getting BECCA Cosmetics to keep one of it’s highlighters, Champagne Pop, which now has her name on the packaging. Jaclyn just also hit 3 million subscribers on YouTube recently.
2. Manny Mua.
If Jaclyn is our queen, Manny is our king. He is so adorable and he is amazing at makeup. Manny also has his own eyeshadow pallet with Makeup Geek as well as a liquid lipstick line with OFRA Cosmetics.
3. Jeffree Star.
If you don’t know him from his music days in the early 2000's you should know him now by his incredible makeup line. Jeffree Star has his own makeup line, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, that is mainly liquid lipsticks as well as lip scrubs. This line is constantly sold out because of it’s amazing quality. He’s also releasing an eyeshadow pallet and a highlighter line that fans are dying for.
4. Glam and Gore (Mykie).
If you don’t always want to see the typical beauty guru, Mykie is for you. Her channel Glam and Gore is a mixture of beauty and special effects makeup. Last year she even won the NYX Face Awards. Mykie’s videos consist of a beauty segment but then are immediately followed by an amazing way to make the look incorporate special effects. Plus she has an amazing quirky personality.
5. Jkissa.
Jkissa is an incredibly talented makeup artist that loves to teach people how to find their true inner beauty. Her eye looks are to die for. She is so incredibly talented when it comes to makeup and although you might not be confident to wear the exact extravagant looks she’s making there’s always a way to recreate the look to a more tone downed effect. Also, in her videos she’ll let her viewers know that if they aren’t the same skin tone a different color they can use that will still recreate the look.
