1. Tour Your Own City.
Get out, and do all the touristy things there are to do in your hometown. Think about where you would want to take your family or friends when they come to visit. Where would you take them? Then go those places. Learn about the history, go to the state parks, visit a museum, see a monument, or even research new possibilities you didn't even know about. You could even bring your camera to take pictures to make it feel like you're actually a tourist. It makes for a great date and wonderful memories.
2. See a Drive-In Movie.
Switch it up a little bit. Instead of going to a regular ole, boring movie theater, try a drive in movie. It's perfect for summer nights. It's cheaper than movie theater prices. You can bring your own popcorn and drinks without having to sneak it in or paying ridiculous prices at the concession stands. You can have a conversation without bothering the people around. Plus, it's fun!
3. Go To a Baseball Game.
Who doesn't love a good game of baseball and ballpark food? Going to a baseball game is a fun and easy date. You don't have to know all the rules of baseball to understand what's happening on the field, the food's great, and tickets are relatively cheap. Even if there's not a MLB team in your town, chances are there's a minor league team somewhere near by.
4. Play With Flying Lanterns.
Create your own Tangled moment and fly flying lanterns one night. It's perfect these summer nights. So, instead of going to dinner and heading back home to watch the regular ole Netflix, avoid the argument over "What do you want to watch" and get outside with flying lanterns and enjoy the few summer nights that are left. You can find Sky Lanterns on Amazon.com for a good price and fast shipping.
5. Take a Trip To The Zoo.
Trips to the zoo are always a good idea, especially for you animal lovers out there. No one is too old to go to the zoo. So, pick a not-so hot day to go, and make a day out of it. Bring your camera and take lots of pictures, buy the wacky souvenirs as a memory of the day, and buy some ice cream. It's a perfect date for summer, and it's something you'll look back on and remember, "Oh wow, that was great date."
