The holidays are over and classes are about to start. While I will miss the food and my big bed from home, I am looking forward to tackling this semester head on. I have been thinking about cats a lot this week, so what better way to commemorate your first week back than by watching some good old fashioned cat videos accompanied by my high school English class level analysis. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did, and that they will power you through your first week. Enjoy.

1. Cat dressed as Jasmine riding a Roomba

This cat really symbolizes the ambition in all of us. This cat had a dream to fly like Jasmine, even though jasmine is a human and this is a cat. This was obviously meant to teach us that we can follow our dreams; no matter the limitations. True inspiration. Fly high you dreamer cat.

2. Cat discovers he is a cat.

This one is deeply profound. I think we all, just like this cat, walk through life not knowing who we truly are. We stumble through life wearing a mask. It is not until we look into the mirrors of ourselves that we realize where we are and who we would like to be.

I'm trying too hard, I know.

3. Cat trying to fit in small box.

This is one of the most important lessons of all. This cat desperately tries to fit into this obviously too small for the cats body mass box. As much as this cat tries to twist and turn it never quite fits, and settles to try to find comfort. This is like how we try to fit into society's mold of our lives, but deep down we know we can't be comfortable in that construct.

4. "Drunk" cats.

This is a blatant social commentary on irresponsible college drinking.

5.Ninja kitty

Each time the camera pans to the cat the stealthy kitty is just that much closer. This can be a metaphor for the way our lives sneak up on us. Every time we blink a little bit of our existence passes by, This can teach us not to take life for granted, appreciate the small moments, and to stop and smell the roses.

Cats are magical.
