I choose to fight, and this is what I fight for, I promise to keep it short:
I fight for pay equality
Which I know everyone brings up...but it's so important. PAY GAP IS A REAL THING. On average, women make 20% less than men do.
Statistics show that women will not be making equal pay until 2152. 2152. That something that we will never see in our lifetime, and chances are, our daughters won't live to see it either. Shouldn't we be getting paid the same amount for the same work? Absolutely, so why haven't we made any effort to get us closer to equal pay? Also, in case you didn't know, the ERA (Equal Rights Act) still has not been added to the US Constitution, they only received 35 of the 38 states necessary. Many people think that it's been passed, but sadly, it has not.
I fight for women who have been sexually assaulted.
According to the CDC, about 1 in 5 women have been raped compared to 1 in 71 men. To make matters worse, the Trump Administration is trying to defund Planned Parenthood and other like companies that offer abortion services. As a result, people will have a harder time getting tested after rape, and if a child is conceived from this, they will be forced to carry the child to term. I've known people who have gone through this problem, one friend told me that, "figuring out how to tell [the child] is going to be one of the hardest things I've had to do."

AND, even in the US Constitution, women do not have equal rights.
I fight for people who cannot fight, or just don’t want to fight.
If you don't want to fight, if you can't fight, if you're disabled, if you’re a refugee, if you are anything other than a straight white man, I'll fight for you. Hell, even if you ARE a straight white man who is also fighting, I'll fight WITH you. My 84 year old grandmother is one of the strongest people I know, and she is fighting for the people in her housing that cannot get out and participate in local events. One person can only change so much, but when people fight together, revolution happens...speaking of which..
I fight for History
Women in History have been fighting for equality since AT LEAST the 1920s. I would be ashamed for them to see what's been going on now.
I fight for Lucy Stone, Elizabeth Stanton, Alice Paul, Susan B. Anthony, Malala Yousafzai, and many other women. Most importantly, I fight for you, I fight for me, I fight for our future children that they and we can live in a better EQUAL world.
Our grandparents and great-grandparents fought for us to have all the rights we have now, why would we want to let someone try to take those rights from us. Our efforts that we are making now could make a lasting impression for future generations of world changers.
There's MANY other reasons why I fight, but these are just a few. Any questions? Don't hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
A "Snowflake"
