Being born in the early 90's, I got to experience the world without Internet. Back in the day, it took work to get on MySpace (Mom screaming at you cause she needed to use the phone) but now just with the click of an app you have social media where ever you may be at. I won't complain since the Internet, like others, has become an essential part of our lives but often it's more than just a part, it's literally our lives. Here are four reasons why I wish the internet didn't exist.
1. We're becoming dumber
If there's something we don't know the answer to we automatically Google it. If the wheel on our car blows out and we have no idea how to change it we simply YouTube it. We have no idea how to do things for ourselves anymore since information is one just click away. Don't even get me started with spell check if we didn't have most of us wouldn't even know how to write. The Internet is a powerful tool that comes with consequences of not being able to do things for ourselves.

2. No Social Interaction
We no longer interact with each other. At parties everyone has their phone out, at school when walking to class we rather listen to music then observe the beauty of the world and instead of saying hello in an elevator we look at our phone to avoid awkward moments with the person next to us. We are so focused on our online "friend" that we fail to recognize the "real life" friends that surround us every day.

3. Kids Don't Play Outside
I remember growing up my mother had to drag me inside or else I would continue to play with friends outside. We would play in the dirt, ride bikes and even go on adventures, but now kids don't even dare to step foot out the door. They spend all their times on their phones, playing video games and watching TV. I will forever be grateful for being born in the early 90s because I enjoyed my childhood, but I actually lived it.

4. We Don't Live Our Lives
This one is pretty self-explanatory we the advancement of the Internet we don't live our lives. And even though it's made it easier on us the Internet isn't an essential factor in our life. Our ancestors lived without it so why can't we?
