You do you, my fellow book lover.

33 Things Every Book Nerd Is Guilty Of

There are people who enjoy books, and then there are people who love books. "Book nerds", as many like to say, are those who take loving books to another level entirely. They find themselves pouring their hearts and souls into reading and often remember characters and quotes long after the last page has been turned. While every bibliophile loves different books and is unique, they are all guilty of doing these thirty-three things.

1. You always need more books.

It doesn’t matter that you already have a hundred books to read and you’re broke—you want that book and you want it now.

2. You get anxious when you let someone borrow your books.

Letting someone borrow your books is a major cause of anxiety. What if they mess it up? What if they don't like it? Each book borrowed comes with a set of rules...no matter how special that person is to you.

3. You become best friends with someone who loves the same books as you.

You can talk for hours to them about anything book related... Plot twists, cliffhangers, character deaths, and so much more.

4. When you’re reading it’s a sign to the universe to leave you alone.

Yes, I’m reading. No, I don’t want to talk. Please leave.

5. You get way too invested in what you’re reading and don't know what to do when it's over.

You mean I actually have to continue my life once this book is over? But my life is this book. Sometimes you just want more.

6. You can read anywhere,...

Bathtub, beach, bed, grocery store, car, bathroom…Anywhere is fair game when you’ve got a great book.

7. Anytime.

What do you mean, it's three in the morning and I should be studying for my final tomorrow? I’m kind of reading a good book right now so…

8. You get super excited when they’re making your favorite book into a TV show or movie.

Like happy squeal, jump up and down, dance excited.

9. Your friends hate you because you find a million things wrong with the TV show or movie.

But then they mess it up by adding random plots and characters. You can't help but get mad when a book you love isn't portrayed correctly.

10. Your friends always come to you for book recommendations.

You’re always ready for someone to ask you what book they should read. You're also probably guilty of constantly checking in with them to make sure they like it just as much as you do.

11. Everyone knows exactly what to get you for Christmas and birthdays.

Basically, books, books, and more books.

12. People give you a book you already have.

You made a list, you checked it twice, and you still got a book that wasn't on it.

13. Books are your favorite escape.

You can always depend on a good book to make you feel better. There's nothing quite like curling up with a great book.

14. You give your friends books that will destroy them just so you can rant about it.

Yeah, I’m sorry about breaking your heart. Here’s a tissue. Now let's rant.

15. You have to wait forever for the next book.

What do you mean I have to wait a year and a half for the next book? I didn’t ask for this! Only 437 days left to go...

16. Cliffhangers are your worst nightmare.

I mean, do you have to end every single book with one? I'm already emotionally unstable enough as it is. I just can't handle anymore feelings.

17. You may have a crush on a fictional character.

Somewhere along the way, you found yourself wishing they were real...And all yours.

18. There's always that person who says movies are better than books.

Seriously, people who say this... Avoid them.

19. You read a book that's so good you never want to read again.

Devastating, tragic, emotional, haunting, but oh so good. Sometimes you just have to take a break before starting the next book.

20. You cry... a lot.

You always make sure you have tissues nearby. You never know when a tragic character death or devastating plot twist will occur.

21. You laugh... a lot.

Sometimes you have to laugh through the pain.

22. You use random stuff as bookmarks.

To dog ear pages is a cardinal sin. Receipts, tissues, toilet paper, and so much more are the perfect bookmarks when you don't have one on hand.

23. You don't know what's going on in class because you're reading.

Oh, was I supposed to be paying attention? Sorry but this book is a lot more entertaining than your class.

24. You'd rather stay home and read than go to a party.

Why limit yourself to a party when you can read and go anywhere?

25. You have to wait for your friends to finish the book before you can rant.

The worst part about recommending a book you loved to someone is waiting for them to finish it. I mean, sometimes you just want to rant now.

26. You accidentally spoil a book for someone.

Oh, you're not that far yet? I'm sorry. Please don't hate me. I didn't just say that.

27. Someone spoils a book for you.

You really, really want to kill them but that's illegal so you settle for a death glare instead.

28. Plot twists physically hurt you.

It will never be okay. Never.

29. You get mad at characters when they don't do what you want.

You love your favorite characters, but sometimes they're so stupid.

30. Your friends read a book you want to read before you do.

Sometimes it takes you awhile to get the book in your hands. Sometimes your friends brag about reading the book before you. Sometimes they threaten to spoil it...

31. Someone hates a book you love.

Whatever book you like has to be great, so whoever doesn't like it is wrong. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

32. Your favorite character dies.

You can't handle the world anymore. You give up.

33. You wouldn't have it any other way.

There's nothing better in life than being a book nerd. Embrace yourself. Keep your friends close and your books closer.

Now go out there and read, my fellow book nerds.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
