Finally, warmer weather is in sight. Spring is a time for new life - hence all the fertile symbols that I will definitely be discussing in a future post - and new beginnings. Sure, you can get some spring cleaning done, but you should be accomplishing so much more than removing winter clothes from your closet.

Now that it's spring, you may have that feeling of motivation. It's the perfect time to set goals for yourself and manifest them. Here are 7 ways you can accomplish your goals and put some "spring" in your step this season:

1. Clean and Organize you Space.

Whether your space is your desk at work, your bedroom, or home/apartment, it is crucial that you clean and clear your space. When your space is organized, you mind can be more organized. Feng Shui is very real, people. Dust spots of the room you haven't even acknowledged. Windex your mirrors and windows. Most importantly, you should open the blinds or shades and open that window to let some fresh air in your room/house.

2. Get Rid of Anything that Doesn't Serve You.

When there is clutter, it can be hard to focus. This is the perfect time of year to get rid of anything that does not serve you. Haven't worn that sweater all winter? Get rid of it. Have old jewelry or other nick-knacks do use? Get rid of it. Oh, and this goes for people too. Have a friend or person in your life that is not bringing out the best in you? Is there a toxic person in your life that brings you down or adds unnecessary stress? Well, you don't necessarily have to get rid of them, but perhaps confront them. It is really important to focus on yourself. How can you help others if you are struggling to properly take care of yourself? It's okay to be a little selfish in this case.

3. Write Your Goals and Manifest Your Dreams.

Sometimes it's not good enough to tell yourself your goals. You have to write them down. Writing down your intentions or goals makes them more real. You are putting it out there in the universe that you will try to set out and accomplish it. At first, I wasn't too sure about writing down intentions and goals. Then, I saw that a few celebrities did it. Jim Carrey, when he was not famous and looking for work, wrote a check in his wallet (to himself) for a large sum of money. Eventually (I believe within a year), he was cast in Dumb and Dumber for roughly the amount he wrote on that check. After hearing that and being recommended by a few friends, I decided to write my goals. It's worth a shot!

This is the time of year where you should start manifesting all your dreams. January was the start of the new year. It was the month of noticing what should be changed about yourself or your life. February was the month of figuring out which steps to take to make said changes from January. Now, March is the time to start putting your words and thoughts into actions. Good luck with whatever you choose. Please, do yourself the favor and release and rid yourself of what doesn't serve you. Happy Spring!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
