29 Thoughts That Go Through Your Mind When You Procrastinate For Finals

It's the Friday night prior to Final Exam week, and I bet I know what you're thinking.

Monday: 2 Finals.

Tuesday: Another two finals.

Whatever. Sunday night I'll just study for Monday's finals, pull an all nighter at Stroz, then set an alarm for 7:45 AM, so I can just walk over to my 8 AM final. No worries. I'm not worried at all, you know, there's free Starbucks coffee after 11PM each night, so that'll definitely keep me awake. And what about Monday after my two exams? I'll just nap for 3 hours, and then pull another all nighter, like the night before. I'll be fine. It's a plan. *goes out*.

Sunday Morning:

1. Alarm goes off at 8:30 AM, you begin studying.

2. *Turns alarm off and sets another alarm for 9:45*.

3. You convince yourself that pushing back your alarm is okay, because you need to sleep more, in order to study more effectively.

4. You're Hungover.

5. Your 9:45 alarm goes off, and you spend 35 minutes catching up on social media.

6. It's 10:30, and you finally roll out of bed, make coffee, and eat breakfast.

7. You tell yourself "I really need to go somewhere to study".

8. You grab your laptop and all of your notes, that are in 4 different notebooks and folders, get in your car, and go to Stroz.

9. You turn around because you forgot your charger.

10. You have your charger and you're finally on your way back to Stroz by 11:30.

11. You think to yourself "ehh, I know the majority of this stuff, I'll be ok".

12. You spend 25 minutes searching for a table, and end up at a table with no outlet.

13. You open your laptop and your backpack as you search for all of the notes you took in class- from the few classes that you went to.

14. You open your text book and attempt to read all of the chapters that your teacher ever went over, then moments later, you find yourself on blackboard opening up the main idea power points that your teacher posted.

15. You realize it's already 2:30 ,and you've practically memorized the order of your Instagram feed, you know the thoughts of all of the people you follow on twitter, you've created 4 new Pinterest boards, and you've seen all of the new pictures and article shares that people posted on Facebook.

16. You decide to wait in the Starbucks line, thinking that a cup of joe will wake you up, and put you to work.

17. You have now been in line for 20 minutes, and you still haven't even begun to wait for the drink that you ordered.

18. You sit back down with your drink, and its 3:15. It also finally hits you that OH MY GOD I HAVE TWO FRIKEN EXAMS TOMORROW.

19. You are now in SUPER study mode, and if anyone tries to talk to you, cough, sniff or breathe, you get pissed off. You also want to legitimately kill all of the girls who are at Stroz (with a full face of makeup), socializing with boys that they probably met once.

20. All of your notes are ripped out of your notebooks by now, your text book is open on your desk, with main points highlighted, and you're probably re-writing all of your notes, and thinking of easy, stupid ways to remember study material.

21. You find yourself typing www.moolaguides.com into your search bar because who knows- maybe a responsible student went to every class, and the teacher's office hours, and is selling a condensed study guide online.

22. You find yourself in actual tears, because you know the title of your class but think to yourself 'Wait what is my professors name?'.

23. 8 hours pass by, and you have bought someone's study guide online, and assume you've got the gist of ALL of the information taught over the semester, and that you're good to move onto studying for the next final.

24. You are now tired and desperate to nap, so you decide to move to the basement floor, kick up your legs, and set an alarm to wake up in 45 minutes.

25. You sleep through your alarm for your nap which was turned off by the random sitting next to you, and you are awakened by your 7:45 am alarm.

26. You scramble and pack your stuff, assuring yourself that you studied SUPER hard (8 hours in total), for your first final and that you'll be just fine.

27. You walk into class late, without a pencil for your Scantron, sit down, and as the final exam is being passed out, you convince yourself that you will just go to stroz right after your test, study for 2 hours for your next final, and make it to the exam that starts at 11.

28. It is now Monday night, 7 pm, and you have already met your friend somewhere to "study for tomorrow's finals", but you end up chatting with your friend the entire time.

29. You tell yourself, "OK. Today I will get my life together, and I will really try to focus tonight, for my finals tomorrow. I will not procrastinate next semester. This will just be my cheat semester. I will be ok. C's get degree's, whatever".

If none of these applied to you, then believe it or not, you're not a bad procrastinator. Congrats for being a goody two shoes, organized student who's "Living The Dream".

HAPPY FINALS.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
