28 Reasons To Live

1. Tomorrow could be the best day of your life.

As much as you don't believe this, and as corny as it sounds. It's true and I've lived in a place where this was the last thing I believed, until it happened.

2. People do care.

You probably don't believe this either, but it's also true and because I know you don't believe this, I care.

3. Puppies/kittens/baby animals.

Come on, who doesn't love baby animals? They're just adorable and sometimes when you can't bring yourself to smile, they can give you just the boost you need to smile.

4. It's only temporary.

Whatever you're going through right now, it won't last forever. Despite it feeling like it will last forever, it won't.

5. You will recover.

I never thought I would recover and now that I have, I truly believe that anyone and everyone can recover. It may not be easy; in fact, it was one of the hardest things to do so far in my life, but if I can do it, so can you.

6. You're not alone.

I've been in your shoes, and there are other people who are feeling the same way you do right now. You're never alone in life. I'm here for you when all else fails.

7. You're important.

All I can say is as much as you don't believe it, do. Because you are important.

8. You're worthy.

You are worthy of being happy and recovery.

9. You're kind.

Despite what you believe, you are a kind person.

10. You're smart.

You're always smarter than you think.

11. You're loved.

I know you probably don't believe this either but you are loved. I love you. Other people love you.

12. You're stronger than you think/know/believe.

You never give yourself credit for being strong. You always consider yourself weak when you are exactly the opposite. You are strong.

13. Long hugs.

I mean, who doesn't love long hugs?

14. Really good books.

Same thing with this. Who doesn't love a good book? (If you don't, that's OK too though.)

15. Making babies smile.

A baby's smile is the most rewarding thing ever, and it's contagious. One of the best feelings I have ever had was when I made my niece and nephews smile.

16. Sun. Rain. Storms. (Whichever you prefer).

There's always some type of weather you love that helps your mood.

17. Laughing so hard you cry.

Who doesn't love this?

18. Ice cream.

Comfort food is the best.

19. Your favorite movie.

Pretty much everyone has a favorite movie. Mine always was "Despicable Me" when I was depressed.

20. Going to the beach.

I've always loved the water and going to the beach is another thing that makes me happy. Swimming is amazing.

21. Seeing your favorite band in concert.

When I was depressed I went and saw Demi Lovato in concert and it was one of the greatest feelings in the world, even if it was just for a night.

22. Sweatpants and your favorite sweatshirt.

I always love my favorite pair of sweats.

23. Water balloon fights.

This is a fun activity to do when it's hot outside. I mean, come on. I always love feeling like a child and having a water balloon fight with a friend or even with kids. They don't seem to mind when you join them.

24. Sunsets.

I'm often left in awe by sunsets. They are just beautiful.

25. Passionate kisses.

One of the best feelings in the world to me at least is a passionate kiss.

26. The first snow of winter.

As much as I despise the snow, nothing is as beautiful as the first snow.

27. The zoo.

Again, I find animals to be extremely helpful to me, watching animals live their lives is just one way that I tend to find peace within myself.

28. Your favorite food.

Who can say no to their favorite food? I know I can't and if I do, then I'm definitely not feeling well.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
