Friendship is a weird thing. It starts off slow, you try to bond with them by asking questions about their day and then move onto asking them if they maybe want to hang out sometime that weekend. You start hanging out with each other more and more, and then WAHBAM, all the sudden you are inseparable. However, just like any relationship, things tend to get a little weird when you get too close.
1. You are in constant communication with them. Like, all the time.
2. And when you are together you are attached at the hip.
3. You know all of their family drama.
You don’t need a clarification of whom your best friend is referring to when she’s filling you in on the family gossip. You obviously know that Hailey is her brother’s girlfriend and you know exactly which side of the family the crazy aunt is on.
4. You can bitch to her about anything and everything.
And she will always have the best response.
5. It’s okay if she doesn’t pay you back right away because it always ends up evening out.
6. You know her schedule like it is your own.
You know exactly what time she gets home. You know when her classes are, what days she works on and until what times. And if she does not come back when she usually does, you most likely begin to worry.
7. You have helped each other through countless drunken emotional breakdowns.
8. You end up liking her favorite TV show because you have been forced to watch it so many times.9. You reserve all of your ugliest snap chats just for her.
10. Despite better judgement, you always support each other’s stupid impulses.
11. Dating someone who they don't like is completely out of the question.
12. Pants are optional when you are in each other’s company.
13. You are totally comfortable bombarding them with text messages if they don’t respond to your first one in a timely manner.
14. You tell each other every mundane detail about your day.
15. You have peed in front of each other.
16. You ask each other questions that you wouldn’t dream of asking anyone else.
Is a shower really a shower if the water isn't running? If you make eye contact with a blind man is it really eye contact?
17. You have already discussed living with each other when your future husbands die.
18. You tend to use “we” in conversation even if you are really only talking about yourself.
19. You have weird little daily routines.
And you figure out a way to make them happen even when you aren't around each other.
20. You have picked up each other’s slang words and goofy phrases.
Even if you started saying it to make fun of then, now you can’t stop.
21. You have reached a point in your friendship where you can communicate through non-verbal noises and looks.
22. You never actually ask for plans; it is just assumed.
“So, what are we doing tonight?” is a common question between the two of you because obviously you wouldn’t want to go out without each other!
23. Her advice is the only advice that matters.
Maybe it’s good advice, maybe it is bad and extremely inappropriate. Her opinion is the one that matters the most, so you will obviously listen to what you has to say.
