Grand Canyon University's own Havocs have been considered the best student section in the country, and have been quoted by SB Nation as "the biggest party in college basketball." The headlines continue -- there's something special about the school three years into the WAC conference. Now, most student sections consist of a certain group of people in one college sport, usually football and basketball. However, the GCU Havocs don't represent one row of fans. The echoes of thunder come from any and all students at GCU. In addition to making college basketball fun for fans, the Havocs have shown their support for every athletic program in Lope Land. With that being said, observing opposing student sections has raised plenty of questions from the Lopes.

1. Why do you guys sit down during the game?

2. How come everyone in the student section doesn't look excited?

3. You guys don't cheer the entire time?

4. What's your guys' fight song? (Do you even know?)

5. Why don't you all sing the fight song like we do?

6. Where is the free swag and shirts?

7. What do you mean you guys don't have a Purple Pre-Game Party?

8. Is it just me or are there no girls in your student section?

9. How come there're no girls in the front rows?

10. Could you guys update your game day playlist?

11. Does your mascot steal popcorn and eat it?

12. Is your pep band a part of your student section?

13. Does it take too much energy to dance around during timeouts for you guys?

14. Can you guys watch your profanity?

15. Do you appreciate the halftime show talents like we do?

16. But do you guys show support for all of your school's sports teams?

17. Can you guys do a great wave?

18. Do you have any original cheers?

19. Can I follow your student section on Twitter and Snapchat?

20. Do you guys even have those accounts for your student section?

21. Why are you guys so quiet when your team is down by 10 points?

22. How are you guys true fans if you leave after the second half?

23. Why doesn't someone in the crowd have a 'SPORTS' sign?

24. Are you guys willing to travel with the team?

25. Did you know that Jesus loves you guys?

It is no mistake that in just four years, the GCU Havocs have become a crucial aspect of campus life, making a huge impact in turning the school into a recognizable force in DI athletics.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
