24 Things To Do When You're Bored
proprofs.com

We've all been incredibly bored at one time or another. As spring break is approaching, you may find yourself with nothing to do. I hope this saves your days.

1. Write An Article

Yup.

2. Learn A New Recipe

Look up recipes on google and find one that sounds appealing. Try it out. Who cares if it comes out awful? You get an A for effort.

3. Clean

Spring cleaning is in full swing. Cleaning your stuff out is cleaning your soul out.

4. Start / Complete A Netflix Series

It takes zero effort and you don’t even need to leave bed. Its a win-win.

5. Rearrange

Take your room apart and then put it back together in a different style. Change it up.

6. Spotify’s Discover Weekly

If you don’t have Spotify, stop what you’re doing and download it. Updated every Monday, Spotify creates you a personalized playlist based on your previous song choices. This way you are finding new music without having to do the search. Thanks Spotify!

7. Read A Book

Go to the library and ask the librarian to pick you out a book. Tell them you want it to be completely random. You’ll be taken on a blind adventure.

8. Go Shopping

Have some loose change? Take a trip to the store and treat your self. You deserve it!

9. Go People Watching

Don’t have loose change? Go to the mall and just sit it the food court. Watch the people around you. Personally, I like to make up stories about the people I see and what they are doing.

10. Clean Up Social Media

Especially you, second semester college students. You’re half way through the semester and I’m sure you’ve had some forgettable nights. Yes, I meant forgettable. Delete the trashy pics you posted after the fourth tequila shot and remove that “friend” who bought you that shot at the bar. Clean it out, booboo.

11. Volunteer

Land a helping hand at your local soup kitchen or church. Some organization out there needs your help. You’re clearly not busy so help someone out!

12. Learn Origami

YouTube tutorials is where it’s at. Even if you’re not coordinated, it may still be entertaining.

13. Workout

Get your lazy butt up and move it! Most gyms offer a free trial week so try them all! Don’t stop at one.

14. Or Don't Workout

That is an option too.

15. Go To A Park

Unleash your inner child. Play on the swings or go down the slide. Invite friends to join the fun.

16. Throw Your Pet A Birthday Party

Incase you forgot your pet’s birthday in the past, celebrate now. I can almost guarantee he / she doesn’t know the difference.

17. Write A Letter

Sounds old school, right? But it’s actually extremely meaningful. Write anyone a letter, even yourself. Everyone likes getting mail.

18. Have A You Day

Take a bath, do your nails, get a massage. Make the day about you.

19. Make A Collage

Use magazines, newspapers or stuff you find online and make a collage. You can hang it up and you’re rearranging your room.

20. Learn A New Language

Again, YouTube tutorials are great for this. Even if you learn a few words, it’s more than you knew before.

21. Start An Online Blog

Tumblr is my go-to for this. Start writing and sharing your work. It’s mentally cleansing to get things out. Who knows? You may discover you’re the next J.K. Rowling.

22. Watch Youtube Videos

I highly recommend EllenTube. Ellen DeGeneres posts video clips from her talk show online. These videos can make you go from full on laughter to sobbing in seconds. Check it out.

23. Make A Bucket List

Create a list of things you want to do before you die. Be creative.

24. Nothing

You’ve been working so hard and have nothing left to do. You owe yourself a break. Sit back and relax. You deserve it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
