23 Thoughts You Have During Finals Week
https://14shadesofgrey.wordpress.com/2014/01/page/2/

Ah, finals week. Five days of cramming, studying, staying up past midnight, coffee, and calculating the lowest score you need on the exam to pass the class. The majority of your success in each class, as well as your semester GPA depends on these five days. It's a super stressful time and can make the wildest thoughts pop up in our minds. Here's how my brain usually thinks during finals week.

1. How am I POSSIBLY going to remember all of this information by tomorrow morning?

2. I should start studying now......after this nap.

3. Crap, that nap lasted a lot longer than I thought it would....

4. I'll just study after I eat dinner.

5. Shit, it's 10:00. I'm screwed.

6. Well, I think I at least, PASSED the exam....

7. C's get degrees right? It was a hard class anyway. I have four more classes to pull up my GPA.

8. OK, I Really need to study for this exam this time. No excuses.

9. *Checks blackboard* I pulled of a 90 on the exam?! OK, miracles do happen. I got this.

10. .....But on the other hand I need at least a 98 on my philosophy final to bull off a B.....better get on that one.

11. HOW DO PEOPLE GET THEIR DOCTORATES IN THIS FIELD? I CAN EVEN GET THROUGH THE INTRO CLASSES.

12. I'm stupid. I'm going to fail out.

13. I'm probably the only one doing bad. Everyone else is probably getting A's. All of my friends are so much smarter than me. What is wrong with me?

14. It's just because I have a bad professor.

15. My life is over if I fail this final. It's 30% of my grade. If I fail the final I fail the class. Then my GPA goes down. Then I fail out of my major. I'm screwed.

16. I'm too stupid for my major. I'm never going to get a real job. I'm just going to be a housewife.

17. Shit, I really need to get to sleep.

18. Well, at least the final is over with. Whatever happens, happens.

19. I survived the week! Let's have some wine and try not to think about checking Blackboard!

20. *Checks Blackboard every five minutes*

21. WHY ARE MY PROFESSORS NOT POSTING MY GRADES, IT'S BEEN A WHOLE 12 HOURS??

22. OK I just need one more grade to get my GPA. Please, please be an A....

23. OK, I survived. I did my best. Now time to enjoy six weeks of break!

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.

1. It's easy to be fooled by shiny things.

Tamatoa created a liar filled with shiny things simply for the purpose of tricking fish to enter and become his food. He too experiences a lesson in how easy it is to be tricked by shiny things when Moana distracts him by covering herself in glowing algae so Maui can grab his hook.
