Fall has just begun, but the best is yet to come. While summer is an awesome time for relaxing, going to the beach, and eating ice cream, fall is just as great. There are many ways to celebrate the start of fall. Since fall started on the 22nd of September, here are 22 things to love about the fall season:
1. The leaves falling everywhere. You can jump on the leaves as you walk or grab some to keep for a collection.
2. Halloween! Halloween is my second favorite holiday. Free candy? Parties? Wearing costumes? What could be better?
3. Colder weather. I used to hate cold weather, but I have learned to appreciate New England’s varied seasons.
4. Comfy sweaters. This connects to colder weather, but during the fall you can wear sweaters that you didn’t get to wear all summer! Sweater weather is where it's at! Rock that style! Life's better with a sweater.
5. Beautiful mornings! The mornings in the fall are gorgeous. The sun shines, the air is crisp, and the trees have leaves on them that are all sorts of different colors.
6. An excuse to drink hot drinks. Fall is known for hot apple cider, lattes, and any hot drink that suits colder weather.
7. School starts again! I know that I sound like a complete nerd, but I happen to love school. You get to see your friends again, go to events, and get involved with clubs and organizations.
8. Pumpkin, pumpkin, everything pumpkin. There are pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin muffins, anything you can think of. Pumpkin is associated with fall. Give me a pumpkin spiced latte and you're my favorite.
9. Carving pumpkins. Speaking of pumpkin, during Halloween, you can carve a pumpkin to make it look scary or happy! It’s a fun Halloween activity. I enjoy saving the seeds on the inside for a nice snack.
10. Beautiful sunsets. This is pretty self-explanatory, but there are incredible sunsets during the fall nights.
11. Apple picking! ! loveapple picking. I especially love eating an apple as you pick them. Do it. I won’t judge.
13. Caramel apples. Caramel apples are delicious! They are pretty easy to make as well. It’s a fantastic treat.
14. Candy apples. In my opinion, these are not as good as caramel apples, but hey. They are still good.
15. Making collages. Fall is thought of as a time where you can spend time outside but also take the time to do some crafts inside. Collages are great crafts for autumn. Especially when you can take some really artsy photos from the outdoors. Strut your artsy skills!
16. Halloween movies! I know I’m mentioning Halloween a lot, but hear me out. Give Grace a chance! There are so many great movies to watch for this holiday. There’s Hocus Pocus, Home Alone, and much more. It’s a great selection to choose from!
17. Long weekends! Columbus Day weekend is soon. That means a day off from school! I like the sound of that!
18. Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is an amazing time where you go on vacation and eat great food with family and/or friends. Who doesn’t love Thanksgiving food? The stuffing is my favorite food. If you’re eating Thanksgiving with me, leave me the bowl.
19. Taking walks. Whether you’re a hiker, or you think walking to the dining hall is a big struggle (that’s me), walking is fabulous in the fall. A college campus can be beautiful at this time of year. You can take pictures and try to become instagram-famous! What a world! Because what else is there to do with your life?
20. It's not winter yet! Unless you love winter, fall is that lovely break which prepares you for winter. Yet, you’re never really fully prepared when that first snowflake falls.
21. Apple cider donuts! These are the best donuts ever!
21. Hayrides. This is a blast! I love hayrides, especially when I do them with my parents. It’s a fun time!
As you can see, fall is a wonderful time. Enjoy the season
