In high school I wish I knew that...
1. The nights of crying over my "hard school work" were totally unnecessary.
2. Not having a date to a school dance was so much more fun than having a date.
3. Home cooked meals were absolutely amazing compared to the cereal that I eat for every meal in the dining hall.
4. Having school pride was not "lame," and pep rallies would've been a lot more fun if it wasn't labeled that way.
5. The Catholic school uniforms were more of a blessing than a curse because well...why does a tshirt cost $20?
6. "Don't Stop Believing" or "Get Low" were going to be the ANTHEMS that remind me of high school, and I shouldn't have gotten annoyed at them playing at every school dance.
7. Separating the class into different "groups" of friends would make you miss out on 4 years of discovering new friendships.
8. Being yourself and not caring about what anyone thinks of you is actually really cool!!
9. Going out with a friend on a school night will not make you fail every single class.
10. Staying up all night to study was unnecessary and I should've slept instead.
11. Being written up wasn't the end of the world, and it wasn't going to ruin my chances of being successful in life.
12. High school drama is literally the funniest and the most pointless thing ever.
13. Doing my hair and makeup every morning was ridiculous and no one actually cared how I looked...sleep > looks any day.
14. Dress down days were dress DOWN and not dress UP and I totally should've worn more sweatshirts and tshirts and less heels and "cute" shirts when I had the chance.
15. I should've just ate cookies and burgers everyday because little did I know that my metabolism would decrease dramatically in college.
16. The privilege of driving to school and jamming to music would be greatly missed as I walk to classes with headphones in trying not to sing and dance because people would look at me strangely.
17. It would be nothing like High School Musical. (That was my biggest heartbreak throughout the whole 4 years.)
18. The 3 minutes in between periods and the running up and down 3 flights of steps everyday would actually make me a pro at making it to class in time in college.
19. No one would compare to the friends I made no matter how much I wanted to move on to my new adventure.
20. I shouldn't have taken the people that I spent everyday with for 4 years for granted because now I would give anything to spend another day with all of them by my side.
