Do you ever get so angry at someone or something that you feel like you could seriously punch a wall (or the person you're mad at)? Well, I am here to give you other alternatives that will help you keep your sanity and your dignity. So throw those boxing gloves aside and try these options instead.

Here are 20 things to do when you are mad so that you don't lose your marbles:

1. Do some yoga.

This is one of the best ways to meditate and reflect in a peaceful way.

2. Take a walk.

Try getting some fresh air. Clear your mind and thoughts by taking a stroll around the neighborhood.

3. Paint a picture.

Painting is so therapeutic. Use any of the colors you want and paint whatever you feel like.

4. Read motivational/ peaceful quotes.

This is when Pinterest comes in handy.

5. Write out your anger in a notebook.

If you're mad, jot it down and let it out.

6. Hold a puppy.

Seriously, try holding a puppy while you are mad. It's impossible to still be angry.

7. Go to the gym.

Not only are you blowing off some steam, but you're also working towards that "summer bod."

8. Treat yourself to some ice cream.

Or any sweet treat for that matter (chocolate really is the best medicine).

9. Ride a bike.

There's something so freeing and nostalgic about riding a bike that just helps clear your mind.

10. Take a relaxing bath with lots of bath bombs.

Do I need to say anything more?

11. Go for a drive.

This is really calming especially when you don't have a destination in mind.

12. Write a letter to the person you're mad at, but don't send it.

Let it out. Jot down all of the frustration, anger, and hatred. Do you have your letter? Great! Now, crumple it up and throw it away. This will help you release some tension without damaging relationships.

13. Hang out with friends.

Whenever I am frustrated, they are the ones I can rant to. They pick me up when I'm down, and that is one of the best feelings.

14. Go shopping.

Stop focusing on the present drama, and focus on a new pair of jeans or shoes instead.

15. Read a book.

Books serve as a great escape from reality.

16. Go to the movies.

Sit back and relax with a big ole bucket of popcorn and candy at the theater or snuggle up with some blankets and Netflix at home.

17. Blare some music.

Crank up the music and blow some steam with a jam session.

18. Schedule a day at the spa.

What's more relaxing than a day at the spa?

19. Clean your room.

Put all the negative energy to use by creating a clean space. Someone once told me that if your room is together, most likely, you will be too.

20. Just breathe.

When in doubt, just breathe, and remember that everything will be okay.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
