There are many great things about the late ‘90s and early 2000s. For example, I was born. Here are 20 other great things from that decade.

1. Blo Pens

Because nothing was better (or more sanitary) than blowing into a tube until color came out onto your paper.

2. Zoobooks

You know you begged your parents for these each time the commercial came on.

3. Water tube toys

For some reason, these kept us entertained for hours.

4. Tamagotchi

Instead of a real animal to take care of, we had a thousand of these babies to keep alive.

5. Furby

The creepiest toy of all time, probably.

6. Trolls

Another creepy toy, but they had cool colorful hair, so they were awesome.

7. Hit Clips

Before the iPod was introduced, we had these portable music players complete with two songs you could listen to.

8. View-Master

I am not sure why these were such a hit, but it seemed like every household with children had at least one.

9. Betty Spaghetti

One of my personal favorite toys; she was so bendy and trendy.

10. Perfection

This was my least favorite game and I threw an actual BF when I got it for Christmas one year. Definitely was a heart attack waiting to happen.

11. Pretty Pretty Princess

I don’t quite remember the point of this game because my friends and I just liked to wear the jewelry and crowns around without actually playing.

12. Skip It

Being an only child, this kept me occupied for hours. Try to beat my high score of 14.

13. Blockbuster

Nothing beat going to the local Blockbuster and picking out some movies and candy. Sorry, Netflix, even you aren’t better than the experience that came along with this classic video store.

14. Ouch! Bubble gum

It was always a treat I got when I survived a trip to the store with my mom.

15. Mary Kate and Ashley movies

Name a more iconic duo... I’ll wait.

16. Easy Bake Oven

The food was absolutely disgusting but it was kind of fun to cook tiny goodies. Kind of.

17. Bop It

An anxiety attack waiting to happnen.

18. Baby Born

Because who wouldn’t want to change nasty diapers that look exactly like the food we just “fed” the baby doll?

19. MouseTrap

It was really fun to set this game up, even though it rarely worked as planned.

20. Paper Fortune Tellers

I am still waiting on my beach house to magically appear

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
