20 Spongebob Gifs To Describe The Evergreen FWW Experience

Fall Welcome Weekend is winding down and I'm trying to recall all of the exhaustion, emotions, and crazy moments that the past few days have offered our staff. From the threat of a monsoon during Move In to the joys of Greychella and everything in between, FWW wasn't "perfect," but it still went really well thanks to the hard work and planning of our staff. I've come to realize that the extreme emotions experienced during FWW are best expressed through our good friend, Spongebob.

1. Trying to turn off your 4:55 a.m. alarm, but it's still dark outside

2. Making it up to the Fourth Floor because you know there will be bacon for breakfast

3. Getting ready and pumped to greet some first years

4. After mistakenly looking in the mirror at the end of move in

5. Strolling into your first small group meeting

6. Sitting through sessions designed for first years in cold rooms for hours

7. Getting ready for FAC Attack

8. Sitting in Reitz when you forgot a sweatshirt

9. Finding a spot to eat lunch

10. Watching the Hypnotist show like

11. Trying to hand out T-shirts to first years but you can't find the right size

12. Getting ready for casino night a.k.a. Evergreen Prom

13. Working Casino Night and feeling fly

14. When first years give you attitude about going to mandatory sessions

15. Trying to remain calm and collected even though you're running on adrenaline and Starbucks

16. Trying to get all of the first years into one picture

17. Greychella got lit real fast

18. Showing your first years where their classrooms are

19. Talking about hopes and lighting a symbolic candle for your group's success at Loyola

20. Finally getting some quality sleep after FWW

Shout out to my fellow Evergreens, we did it, you guys!!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
