Whenever someone asks where I am from and I tell them Texas, all they can imagine is dirt, country music, and boots. Anyone from Texas knows that there is much more that makes the biggest state in the nation, the BEST state in the nation. There's a lot to love about the Lone Star State and if you are a born and raised Texan, then Y'ALL check out these 20 signs that any Texan will recognize.

1. Buc-ee's is your pit stop on a road trip.

Anyone from Texas knows that whenever you are on a road trip that Bucee's HAS TO be apart of it. This is the cleanest, best gas station in Texas. Not only do they sell amazing jerky, but they also have the best "Beaver Nuggets!" If you don't know what that is, then you are definitely not a Texan.

2. Sweet tea is life.

Texans love sweet tea. End of story.

3. "Y'all" has its own listing in the dictionary.

Texans use "y'all" in many different forms. There is not one Texan who says "you guys" or "you all". Instead, we just say "y'all," cause that's just how it goes.

4. Driving for hours and still being in Texas.

If you are ever on a road trip to another state, then you know that it takes the majority of the trip to even get out of Texas. It is for sure the biggest state for a reason.

5. Monograms are a big thing.

In the South, monograms are the "big apple" of New York. Just about anywhere you go in Texas, 2 out of 4 girls, will have at least one monogram on them. Monograms are popular on hats, jewelry, and even toilets.

6. "Don't mess with Texas" is your motto.

Being a Texan means that you will always defend your state. If you aren't from Texas, then don't mess with Texas.

7. Tex-Mex is better than Mexican food.

If you go to basically any Mexican restaurant in Texas, chances are that it is actually Tex-Mex food. Tex-Mex is amazing compared to Mexican food because of the sizzling and delicious ingredients used.

8. You've been asked by people who live outside of Texas if we ride horses to school.

This is one of the most common and annoying stereotypes for all Texans. People that don't live here seem to be surprised that we don't ride horses to school and actually drive cars. This is something you should never ask a Texan. This is 2016.

9. You constantly have a farmers tan.

Even if you are outside for roughly 15 minutes, chances are that you are either getting burned or super tan.

10. You are used to not having all four seasons.

Even in winter, it feels like it is hotter than summer.

11. You can't go a week without Whataburger.

If you've never had Whataburger, you need to take a trip to Texas and try out this amazing gift.

12. You have a hard time explaining mums to out of state people.

Mums are a huge part of High School homecomings. This tradition of wearing a elaborate and huge pin of ribbons, boas, and flowers has occurred in the South for a long time.

13. It's casual to see a horse at the drive-thru.

This may not be accurate in big cities, such as Houston or Dallas, but if you are in a small town, then chances are you have seen this happen at least once in your life.

14. You have many boots.

A true sign of being a Texan is that you own many pairs of boots. Boots are so popular in Texas that you can wear them basically anywhere!

15. You wear shorts in the winter.

Since winter doesn't get extremely cold, it is common to wear shorts in the winter. If you wear shorts in this season, then you know that you will not get weird looks.

16. You have a collection of Whataburger numbers.

It is always young high school and college students goals to see who can collect the most Whataburger numbers.

17. Schools get closed for "snow" days.

In state's, other than Texas, the weather can be so dangerous and freezing that school will not get canceled. But weirdly, in Texas, if there is just a little bit of ice on the road, you know that school will get canceled for the "snow day."

18. You drink pickle juice right out of the jar.

Everyone who is from Texas loves pickles and has done this numerous times.

19. When you eat ice cream, it HAS to be Blue Bell.

During the Blue Bell dilemma, it was very hard on Texans, but we survived!

20. Even if you've traveled the world, but you still know that there is no place like home.

No matter where you go in life, you know that there is no place like Texas. Nothing beats the beautiful nature, the traditions, or the life you have being a Texan.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
