Homework, studying and balancing responsibilities make the school year stressful. However, people don’t often think about the stresses summer brings. From getting bikini ready to traveling to new and exciting destinations, here is a comprehensive list of the reasons summer stresses me out.

1. The pressure to be super fit

2. The pressure to leave summer with a tan that will last you for the next six months

3. The pressure to get a tan, yet still wear sunscreen because protecting your skin is important

4. The pressure to find the perfect swimsuit

5. On a similar note, the pressure to wear cute clothing in general

6. The pressure to still look cute when it’s HOT AS HELL outside and all your makeup melts off and your hair sticks to the back of your neck

7. The pressure to party like you’ve literally never partied before

8. The pressure to not eat all the cold, sweet things in the freezer

9. The pressure to not overheat

10. The pressure to find the perfect summer fling

11. The pressure to do something awesome

12. The pressure to travel somewhere awesome

13. The pressure to preserve awesome moments and post them on social media

14. The pressure to maintain your lawn

15. The pressure not to sleep. A lot.

16. The pressure to work so you’re not poor during the school year

17. The pressure to make new friends

18. The pressure to get in freezing cold water

19. The pressure to not burn things when you BBQ

20. And let’s not forget the pressure to just kick back and relax!

Despite all stresses, I hope you have a great summer!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
