Apps run the world. Well, actually that's Beyoncé, but you get my point.
We use them every day to help us with practically anything under the sun. There are so many apps out there that sometimes it's hard to know which ones are the best and/or are an absolute necessity.
In light of the aforementioned statement,
Here's 20 Apps Everyone Should Have (Excluding the cultural standards of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc...)
- Spotify
Not used by everyone but definitely SHOULD be. Apple Music super copied Spotify's idea/market but Spotify is an absolute MUST.
Students can pay $5/month for Premium. - Google Translate
Depending where you live, you may have either a small amount of international culture or a great amount. Wherever you fit, this app is always handy when you see a sign you can't read, need help translating a menu at a Mexican restaurant or simply communicate with a new international friend! - The Weather Channel
Forget your local apps. TWC is the best. That is all. - Google Maps
If you have an iPhone, tuck away Apple Maps in the back of a folder somewhere or straight up delete its sorry butt (iOS 10). With all it's glitches and incorrect GPS directions, Google Maps wins at no contest. - IMDb
"Hey! I recognize that guy! What movie was he in??" Sound familiar? Answer all your movie related questions in 30 seconds or. You'll sleep better at night knowing you put a name with a face. - Fandango
Sometimes you don't want to stand in line at the theater to get your movie tickets. Sometimes you just want to show up and walk in. If you're willing to fork over anther dollar or two for service fees, buy on your phone! For iPhone people, you can even add your tickets to the Wallet app. - Remote
This is for all my Apple TV peoples and/or people who use their Mac to listen to music often. The Remote app turns your phone into a remote which can control everything from your iTunes library to Netflix on an Apple TV. - Snapseed
A Google app and super intuitive/multi-purposeful in all aspects of photo editing. Got a zit? Touched up. Too dark? Lightened. Need that epic 90s glamour shot filter? Gotchu boo. - Phonto
Think layers and pictures overlaid with words. I use it constantly and it's really handy when trying to publicize something using a graphic. - Google Drive
If you don't already have a Google account A.) Who are you? B.) What's the address of the rock you've been living under? Both Android and iPhone can efficiently utilize Google Drive and it's wonderful for storing and creating purposes. - Skyscanner
For the travelers out there, Skyscanner searches not only domestic airlines but every airline possible. If you're going to Europe next summer, for example, it will show you, like Expedia or Kayak, the cheapest flights. Though, instead of only being Delta, American and United, you'll see airlines like Iberian, Lufthansa or British Airways, which are often cheaper than our own domestic airlines. - Pillow
Pillow is an alarm clock/sleep tracker. It uses the microphones on your phone and other sensors to help you track how well you sleep and for how long. If you wake up and make a lot of noise, it will register and be added to the overall analysis. If you pick your phone up at any point in the night, it registers you're awake and, again, is included in the analysis. If you have a FitBit or an Apple Watch (or a smart watch of some sort) you can actually wear it while you sleep to get a more accurate read as it can also track your pulse. - Amazon
Need I say more? Your one stop shop for anything and everything at your fingertips. - To PDF
Converts pictures and screen shots alike into PDFs. You'd be surprised how useful this can be. I'm talking to you, college students. - My Fitness Pal
Such a useful app. Not only can you track your food (both homemade AND in most chain restaurants) and body measurements but you can "friend" people like FB and encourage your friends as you both work towards fitness goals. - Mint
If you're comfortable with connecting your bank accounts to this marvelous app, you should. It helps track your spending and shows you where you spend your money. You can also make budgets, allowing for better overall use of your money. - Fyuse
Fyuse combines the idea of a panoramic picture with Apple's live pictures. Go ahead. Just try it. It's pretty epic. - Cloudbeats (Pro)
If you're the type that downloads music from the internet and/or still wants to utilize your CD collection, this app will be your new best friend. Cloudbeats (both free and Pro) lets you play music from places like Google Drive. Simply upload your music to the Drive and you're good to go! - Key Me
If you're the type that is more likely to lose their keys than not, this app can give you peace of mind. Simply take/upload a picture of your key and save it to the "key ring" and you now have a digital copy of your key! Using the providers the app utilizes, you can then buy a new key. - Google
Perhaps elementary but, if you don't already have the app itself, it'll make your day go by smoother. I mean, let's be honest...Siri doesn't always know best.
Well, what are you waiting for? Get to downloading!
Cheers,
ZER
