18 Songs to Add to Your "No Stress" Playlist
freedatalabs.com

This is a list of songs that aim to lift your spirits, lessen the load you carry due to stress, and prevent things like a bad grade or being late from ruining your day or mood. For a lot of people, myself included, music is therapeutic. It has the power to alter moods, change the way you see things, and offer an escape. Music has a lot of power and this playlist is just one way you can use that power for good. You can add songs of your own to tailor it to what you want/need and share it with anyone you know who needs to alleviate their stress.

1. "Stressed Out" Twenty-One Pilots

Everyone gets stressed out from time to time and its easy to want to go back and be kid again. For me music is definitely my go to on-the-spot therapy for stress relief.

2. "Move Along" The All-American Rejects

Hit after hit, different things in life try to knock you down but you just have to keep moving along.

3. "Burn" Ellie Goulding

There's a lot of things out there that will try to dull your shine but just keep letting your light burn for all to see.

4. "Mr. Brightside" The Killers

This song speaks for itself. Its always good to look on the bright side because even if you feel like there isn't one, trust me there is.

5. "Seeing Stars" BØRNS

This is an upbeat song aimed to lift any poor sort of mood you're in and turn it into something better.

6. "My Church" Maren Morris

Sometimes a long drive with music blaring is all you need to clear your head and gain new perspective.

7. "Be As You Are" Mike Posner

A lot of times what adds to our stress is trying to be someone that we're not. When you try to wear too many hats and please everyone you'll just end up frustrated and exhausted.

8. "Low Tide" XY&O

Nothing is more relaxing than sounds of the ocean and the rhythmic motion of the waves. This song reminds me of being on the beach and no matter how I feel it always manages to give me a sense of zen.

9. "Leavin'" Jesse McCartney

In this song Jesse literally says "don't stress, don't stress, don't stress" and you should listen to his advice. Stress is just a cycle that goes on and on so whatever you can do to break it, you should do.

10. "Sky Full of Stars" Coldplay

I don't know about you but for me Chris Martin's voice is magic when it comes to feeling stressed. Listening to him sing never fails in making me feel better.

11. "Halo" Beyoncé

A classic. One of those songs you could listen to on repeat and never get tired of. Its a song that will make you take a pause in your day and just breathe.

12. "Lights Down Low" MAX

Time is a pesky little thing that just never stops. We will it away and wish for it back. It's easy to feel lost, like the world keeps moving no matter what you do and this song captures that feeling of wanting and needing something to cling to amid our fast-paced lives.

13. "Bacon" Nick Jonas

Because everything is better when you just throw some bacon on it.

14. "Starboy" The Weeknd

Because every once in a while you need a reminder that you're a star and no-one can dull your sparkle no matter how hard they try.

15. "Hello Friday" Flo Ride ft. Jason Derulo

TGIF! It doesn't even have to be Friday for this song to lift the weight of the day/week off your shoulders.

16. "All Time Low" Jon Bellion

Bad day? Feel like you hit rock bottom? We've all been there. Take a moment (Just one) to feel sorry for yourself then get up and dust yourself off because there's no way to go but up.

17. "Love on the Brain" Rihanna

Stress and anxiety may beat you down but just keep love and positivity on the brain like Rihanna and you'll be okay.

18. "Bye Bye Bye" NSYNC

Say bye bye to stress with this classic throwback.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
