They always say you can't choose your family, and they're right. Being in a family of five always means an odd man out, whether it's sporting events or getting on a roller coaster. Growing up in a family of five does have its perks, but here are some clear struggles that families with four or fewer people would never understand.
1. If you want to take one car, be prepared for a tight squeeze.
2. Trying to decide on a place for all of you to eat dinner is mentally exhausting.
3. You can never get a normal sized cab, or you can't all ride together.
4. You have to get two bedrooms in hotel rooms, meaning you spend way more money.
5. Family photos where everyone looks good are a rare anomaly.
6. Your whole family knows something, but they won't tell you, so you take every means necessary to find out what it is.
7. When you come home and no one is in your house, you don't know what to do with yourself.
8. Wanna have a family outing to the big game? That's too bad. Tickets only come in pairs.
9. Getting everyone in one place at the same time is a real struggle.
10. But when it finally happens, it's like a dream come true.
11. Until the bickering begins...
12. The restaurant wait is always longer, so you contemplate ditching them and taking the open seat at the bar.
13. When you finally do get a table, they just pull up a chair on the end.
14. Your leftovers never make it past an hour in the fridge.
15. You have an instant fan club for everything you do in life.
16. There are too many cars in the driveway, so you have to get creative on how to back out.
17. You’re blessed with four other people who love you unconditionally.
