I already voted, so my opinion for the next president is already out there in the universe. While I believe in the person I voted for more than the other person, I don't necessarily want that person to be my president for the next four years. So instead of thinking about what the state of our nation will look like for the next four years, I've decided to focus on more positive and happy moments that will happen these next four years instead.
1. There's a new Harry Potter movie franchise coming out.
2. New puppies will be born everyday.
3. There will be those perfect sunny and 75 days.
4. Your favorite artist will release new songs.
5. People will fall in love.
6. There will be multiple epic sporting moments.
7. You'll accomplish something you never thought you would.
8. Four Thanksgivings and Christmases filled with good food and loving families will pass.
9. You'll watch as two people vow to spend the rest of their lives loving one another.
10. New seasons of TV shows will be released on Netflix for you to binge-watch.
11. Babies will be born.
12. You'll fall in love with a new book.
13. Or reread one of your old past loves.
14. You'll cross a couple things off your bucket list.
15. You'll meet new people so amazing you'll wonder how you ever lived without them.
16. You'll laugh with your favorite people several times.
There's no denying that this presidential election will go down in history as one that has accomplished many firsts (some good, some not so good), but even though the choices are not up to par and the result will likely leave a bitter taste in many people's mouths - life will still go on. Nothing will change except who lives in the White House, and while that needs to be a concern on everyone's minds, it doesn't have to ruin the next four years of your lives. Just keep living life, every little quirk and all, the way you always have. Don't let this election hinder your life.
