Growing up with brothers make any childhood interesting; growing up with only brothers makes my childhood a different story.
Here are 15 things you understand if you only have brothers:
1. You are able to eat twice your bodyweight because you have been conditioned throughout your life to keep up with your brothers.
2. Slapping and punching are considered signs of affection toward one another.
3. It is comforting to know your brother(s) will always have your back.
4. Family dinner conversations are never boring.
5. You are always a tad nervous to bring friends over since you never know quite what your brothers are going to do or say.
6. You realize that having guy friends is easier than girl friends since you grew up around boys.
7. You eat very differently around your brothers than you do around your friends.
8. Your sports knowledge is far more impressive than any average person, since you grew up attending your brother's games and watching ESPN after school.
9. You used to play with G.I. Joe not Ken so your brother could play, too.
10. Every scar has a great story behind it. "Oh! This scar is from when my brother made me flip over the handles of my scooter."
11. At some point, you grew very close with your mother because she was the only feminine voice in your life. Your mother was always willing to do the things your brothers refused to do like paint your nails or play with baby dolls.
12. You are very protective of your brothers. Every girl they have brought home is never good enough for them.
13. You quickly realized that your friends that had sisters lived in a completely different world.
14. Bodily functions are not only a common occurrence in your household, but are strangely celebrated. "Burping contest ... GO."
15. You know for a fact that boys are indeed gross creatures that continue to push the boundaries of sanitary living.
