“It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re seventeen and planning for someday. And then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And that someday is yesterday. And this is your life.” - Nathan Scott, One Tree Hill
Here are a few things I wish I could've screamed at myself during my high school journey...
1. That boy doesn't matter.
Stop crying over him.
2. Stop putting up with people's bs.
You're stronger and smarter than that.
3. That outfit isn't cute.
It really doesn't match.
4. Stop arguing with your parents.
They're always right.
5. Study more.
It'll be worth it.
6. But don't let that SAT define you or decide your future.
Because it doesn't.
7. Stop hitting the snooze button.
Just get up and get your day started. Geez.
8. Not everyone is going to like you. That's just life.
And it's okay.
9. Your best friend will still be your best friend after graduation.
She loves you. She's what a real friend is.
10. You're struggling because you're growing.
Keep struggling. Keep growing.
11. Write more.
Record memories.
12. All of the hard work will pay off.
You're going to get into college. You're going to love it.
13. 4 years fly by - enjoy it.
Enjoy every minute of it.
14. The right boy will come along.
And you will be the happiest you've ever been.
15. It's going to be okay.
You can do this.
