Anyone who has applied to a job knows that it's not as easy as one might hope. Even more difficult, trying to find an internship opportunity. There are so many things you could do wrong: what resume format do you use? How formal should you be? What do you wear for an interview?

Here are the 15 stages of job hunting!


1. Realizing You Need A Job

Maybe you need more money to make rent or pay for necessities, or want to become independent of your parents' money. Congratulations on starting this journey!

2. Dreaming Of Your Ideal Job

It'll pay well and work exactly with your social and academic schedule! We can dream.

3. Realizing None Of Your Preferences Are Hiring

So that's disappointing, but hey, you'll just adjust to something more realistic!

4. Finding A Few Jobs That Aren't Great, But Aren't Awful

At this point, you're willing to settle a little.

5. Drafting A Resume

All right, time to put down all my awesome qualifications!

6. Getting Confused By The Formats and Etiquette

WHAT'S A COVER LETTER? DO I NEED ONE??

7. Filling Out A Long, Annoying Application

"Why do you want to work here?" Um, to make money?!

8. Waiting And Hoping For A Response

Please hire me, please hire me, please hire me...
