I’ve always taken my hometown for granted, but as summer approaches and knowing I'll be leaving soon has made me realize there’s a lot here to miss. I live in what I like to call, the prettiest town I’ve ever seen. With water surrounding on three sides and anything you need between those sides there’s nothing more I could ask for.

1. Driving Around

Getting in the car and aimlessly driving around this beautiful place with good music, friends or both is one of my favorite things to do.

2. My Friends

I have the best and being within such a short distance from all my best friends makes this place so much better.

3. Sunsets

There’s nothing better than a port sunset. Nothing.

4. The Spot

One of the best places along the water in Sands Point to watch the sunset or just drive past on a nice day with the New York City skyline in the distance.

6. The Delis

They each have something custom that everyone loves, and everyone definitely has their favorite one.

7.Let There Be Bagels

One of the only places I don’t mind waiting on a line that goes out the door because the bagels are just that good. You can find me there almost everyday.


8. All the other food

There’s just about everything you could think of and a lot of it. From the multiple pizzerias, several sushi places, Greek, French, Mexican, and so much more!

9. Main Street

Located in the center of town where you can find anything you could possibly need.

10. The Docks

Another great spot to watch the sunset or just hang out in your car with friends. You’re bound to find someone you know there at any given time whether it’s 2pm or 2am.

11. The Schools

I loved every single one I attended, and I’ll miss my class a lot.

12. School Games and Spirit

I’ll definitely miss going to varsity sports with my friends and watching everyone cheer on our teams.

13. Seasonal Ice cream

You know it’s summer in Port when Ralph's and Douglas and James, better known as the “wharf” open up. Everyone definitely has their favorite of those as well.

14. Familiar Faces Everywhere

Seeing people you know just about everywhere at any time helps make our town feel like a home.

15. Neighbors

I have some of the best and they’re like family to me.

16. Summer

Although every season here is great, summer is probably my favorite because what isn’t better in the summer?

17. It’s Unique

There's no place like it.
