Valentine's Day: a day where single girls try to forget that relationships exist by binge-watching Nicholas Sparks movies, listening to sappy love songs, and eating chocolate like it's their job. We've all been there. It can be a really depressing holiday, especially if you don't have a significant other. ABC Family literally plays every Nicholas Sparks movie known to man, while CVS and Walgreens stores look like Cupid came in and threw up all over the place. For us single ladies, it's definitely not our holiday of choice, but it's one of those things that you just have to make the best of. H are a few tips to get us through this lonely day of love.

1. Have one of your single friends be your Valentine. Neither of you want to be alone on Valentine's Day, so why not celebrate it together? It's always more fun with a friend.

2. Make a secret Galentines Day group: Pick names out of a hat with all your girlfriends and go out and buy your Galentine a teddy bear, some flowers, or some chocolate. It'll feel just like Christmas, except you'll feel a little more lonely.

3. Go out to the bars with all of your single friends. What better way to celebrate love than with a drink. Or twelve. Maybe you'll meet someone special while you're out.

4. Buy yourself some Valentine's Day candy. It always tastes better when it's heart-shaped, and you deserve it.

5. Listen to a lot of Beyoncé, because we're single ladies and we're proud.

6. Pamper yourself a little bit. Get a mani-pedi and, if you're up for it, get a massage too. You're not wasting money on anyone else, right?

7. Go to dinner with a group of your single friends, or pitch in for a meal and cook together as a group.

8. Instead of watching sappy love movies, watch comedy movies or movies about having great friends, like "Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants."

9. Or do watch sappy movies... and cry. Because that's OK, too. Eat some of that heart shaped chocolate that you bought while you're at it.

10. Go out and flirt a little bit, because why not? Everyone deserves a little bit of love on Valentine's Day. You never know what may happen.

11. Take a nice hot bubble bath, and while you're at it, have a glass of wine too...Or a bottle. You deserve it, because on Valentines day, you deserve everything.

12. Embrace the fact that you're single. You don't need a man anyway.

13. Don't be that girl who is anti-Valentine's Day. It can be fun when you're single too. Just indulge yourself in chocolate.

14. If worse comes to worst, go to Pet-land and play with some puppies. Puppies will love you, make you feel good about yourself, and if you're nice, maybe he'll be your Valentine.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
