13 Things I Miss About Walt Disney World

100 percent of the time I want to be in Disney.

13 Things I Miss About Walt Disney World

In my opinion, there is no better place in this world than Walt Disney World. Disney truly is the happiest place on Earth, and I feel that every time I'm there. With that being said, there is a huge void in my life currently because I will not be going to Disney at all in 2016. If you are a Disney freak like my mom and I are, then you understand how heartbreaking it is to not have a trip planned for the near future. Sure you have all the memories of trips past, but it's just not quite the same thing. While I try and keep myself from dissolving into a puddle of tears everyday, here are the things I miss most about the happiest place on earth.

1. The castle

If you have ever been to Disney, you know that the castle is the most breathtaking part. Walking into Magic Kingdom and looking down Main Street, USA, at Cinderella's castle is a life-changing experience.

2. The fireworks

Every night there is a spectacular nighttime show that is usually full of fireworks and all of your favorite Disney songs. Nothing beats ending your night with a spectacular fireworks show like the ones in Disney.

3. The food

Disney has some of the best restaurants that you will ever eat at. Epcot is probably my favorite park to go grab a bite in.

4. The atmosphere

If you've ever been to Disney, I hope you know that it is hard to feel any other emotion but happiness. Just being in a place where anything is possible makes you feel so happy inside.

5. Feeling like a princess

I feel no shame in admitting that I wear a princess crown or an obnoxiously big Minnie Mouse bow while I'm at Disney, because I love feeling like a princess.

6. The people

I don't know what it is, but being surrounded by people that feel the same way about Disney as you do is a pretty life-changing experience. Everyone there, guests or cast members (the staff), are so happy and friendly. Besides the kids crying from exhaustion, pretty much everyone is in a good mood.

7. Wearing all of my Disney clothes without fear of judgement

I probably own around 20 Disney shirts, whether they are long-sleeved, short-sleeved or a tank top. With that being said, I never feel more accepted for having that many Disney-themed clothing items than when I am in Disney.

8. The weather

Although some people complain about the heat and humidity of Florida, I love it. There is nothing like escaping 20-degree weather in the middle of January to be a nice 80 degrees with a slight breeze and sunshine.

9. The rides

There are not many places that I would stand in line for 45 minutes or more than in Disney. Their rides are so much fun and truly immerse you in the Disney experience.

10. The characters

Nothing can make me feel more like a kid than meeting my favorite Disney characters. Every time I meet Minnie Mouse, I feel like I'm 7-years-old again.

11. Takings pictures

Disney is the only place that I will take pictures of literally everything and delete none of them at a later date. I seriously have over 1,000 pictures that I will never get rid of.

12. The resorts

Disney has some of the best hotels that you will ever stay at. They are so homey and comfortable. They definitely do a good job at making your resort feel like your home away from home.

13. Making unforgettable Disney memories

I have made so many memories that will last a lifetime and I can't wait to make even more.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
