Not every English class is a re-inaction of Dead Poets Society. Here are a few unpleasant things that every English Major will experience:

1. That person in class who always insults "Harry Potter." (Probably the professor)

2. Defending your major to everyone.

3. "Actually, Frankenstein was the doctor, not-"

4. That guy who always brings up Marxism.

5. Reading Shakespeare be like

6. Proofreading papers from someone who's illiterate.

7. Taking English exams.

8. That person who always drinks coffee/tea out of a mug in class.

8. Reading those surreal short stories that haunt you for years.

10. The people who passionately defend YA novels.

11. When the professor brings up Freud.

12. When your life is literally this episode of Spongebob.

13. Realizing you're just as pretentious as everyone else.
