The most frequently heard complaint from my friends who are trying to get healthy are either one of two things: 1. I can't find the time or 2. I feel intimidated by the gym. One of my favorite ways to combat both of those problems is to find fun, quick and easy fitness videos on YouTube. They are usually no more than 15 minutes long, and you can do them in the comfort of your own home, no gym required. I love to fit them in on tired days after class, or when I just need a quick cardio mood booster. Here are some of my favorite fitness YouTube channels!

1. The Fitness Marshall

If you like to dance like nobody is watching, you'll love his videos. The videos are generally short in length and feature sassy dance moves set to current popular songs that are fun for all fitness/dance levels. You really will break a sweat with just one of his cardio dance videos, I promise!

2. Blogilates

If you love all things pilates, you'll love this channel. Sign up for her free newsletter to get access to a monthly workout plan calendar, and pay just .99 cents for her app to join a neat community of fellow Blogilates members.

3. Love Sweat Fitness

She's full of positivity and features workouts such as barre or HIIT. She also has a blog with tons of free materials and a newsletter featuring a sign up for a positive Facebook group with a great sense of community.

4. Sarah Beth Yoga

Her sequences are easy to understand and soothing.

5. Kym Non Stop

Her no-nonsense attitude is fun instead of intimidating.

6. Shelby Skaggs Fitness

She's just getting started, but her channel is one of my favorites. I have taken classes with her previously, and she knows how to make working out fun but effective. Workouts range from barre, abs and more, to fun dance classes.

7. Tone It Up

I don't use TIP as much as I used to, but they have a huge selection of videos and some of my friends are obsessed. They have a pretty big following on social media if you are someone who enjoys a sense of community. They have a lot of free content on their blog, but some content is paid members only.

8. XHIT Daily

This is a really great channel for learning how to do basic fitness moves with proper form.

9. Yoga With Adriene

This channel is perfect for all levels of yogis.

10. POPSUGAR Fitness

This channel is filled with all things at-home fitness, so there will be something for everyone!

11. Scott Herman Fitness

In his channel, he breaks down proper form for beginners on a variety of commonly used fitness moves.

12. Shannon Johanson

Her channel has great workout plans for when you want to pick things up, but aren't sure where to begin. While she does have quite a few videos based in the gym, there are at home variations as well.

13. Women's (or Men's) Health

Check out either of these channels no matter your gender for a variety of simple and effective home workouts.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
