If you have curly hair you may already know everyday is another challenge. Lately it has been hot and muggy out which makes my curly crazy hair extra impossible to keep up with.

These are some daily occurrences that I have happened way too many times.

1. Humidity

Yes curly hair's worst enemy. So most of us curly haired people can not stand the summer.

2. Dry it Straight

When people with straight hair just tell you to dry your hair straight.

I am sorry what ? That is not possible. It is not like going to bed with braided hair and waking up with wavy hair.

3. Hair brushes

We all have been there at least once where your hair isn't having it.

It would probably take you a long while to detangle your brush out of your hair.

4. Conditioner is Key

Sometimes you feel like you use half a bottle in one wash.

5. Rain

When it rain can just ruin your hair in a split second.

6. WOW! You have so much hair

Having to explain that the natural volume of your hair just makes it look 10x bigger than it actually is.

7. As a child being compared to a broom or a mop. Always made you wish you had straight hair.

9. Shampoo commercials

When you watch commercials that advertise shampoo for curly hair , but the hair model doesn't even have curly hair….

10. The question

Every time you answer the question "how long does it take to straighten your hair" Your answer always makes you think why do you even bother straightening your hair.

11. The Unknown

You never know how your hair is going to end up when you air dry.

12. Taming

It takes a lot of time and patience to maintain curly hair and sometimes it includes putting a lot gunk in your hair.

13. Please do not touch

Some people are just fascinated by curly hair but as I said before it takes a lot to maintain it , therefore please do not touch!

13.Badass

We can all admit that having curly hair automatically makes you a bad ass.

Curly hair is just a blessing in disguise. Our hair reflects how bouncy and fun we can be.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
