12 Signs You Were An IHSDTA Dancer
Crawfordsville Dance Team

If you are or have been a member of an IHSDTA team, you've been through the same process that thousands of other dancers have. From the early bus rides to the late awards ceremonies, we've been through it all. Even if you are an alum like me, there are still some distinct signs to tell that you were an IHSDTA dancer...

1. You know how important "facials" are to a score.

2. The announcer at state will always have a place in your heart.

3. You still get insanely nervous during any awards ceremony.

4. How you felt when you got a really good score.

5. How you felt when you got a really bad score.

6. You miss Jamming out in the dressing room before competing

7. Seeing the awful action shots Bateman got of you was a nightmare.

8. Jamming on the bus rides there got you pumped.

9. The awkwardness of the bus ride home after a bad competition.

10. Getting lost in big high schools during transit.

11. You miss all the fun Nationals trips.

12. The heartbreak you felt when State was over.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
