12 Reasons We Love Kourtney Kardashian

Everyone knows who the Kardashian/Jenner family is. Everyone knows at least one member of that family... after all, there are 12 of them. I am a reality show binge-watcher. "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" is one of my favorites. I can't explain to you why because I don't really have an answer. One of my favorite things about the show, though, is that at any point in time I can identify with any member of that family: Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Rob, Kylie, Kendall or Kris. But as a frequent KUWTK watcher, I always get asked who my favorite is and I think I finally have an answer: Kourtney. Allow me to explain why.

1. She says exactly what she is feeling—no matter what.

I hate talking on the phone. It makes me hyperventilate, and when I am on the phone I try to keep the conversations as short as humanly possible. I have wanted to say this to people so many times that I've lost track.

2. She cuts out the people she needs to cut out.

Sometimes you just need a break from people. Kourtney understands. She's been there. She just is able to put her foot down.

3. She will defend family until the end.

Kim got even more press than usual when her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries ended, and she was then sued. Humphries believed that she married her just for press. Kourtney was having none of that.

4. She gave us all a lesson on how to be confident.

Listen, you are a fantastic person. You are fierce. You are smart. You are beautiful. Everyone should appreciate you because you are the bomb.

5. She is able to keep people in check.

There is a fine line between being confident and being rude. Watch the line. Mind the line. Your friends will call you out on it.

6. She keeps her priorities straight.

Who cares what people think about you? If you want that extra piece of cake? You eat that extra piece of cake. If you want to eat a salad? Eat that salad. You do you.

7. She doesn't let anyone tell her how to live her life.

No matter how ridiculous it might seem to other people, do what you want to do because at the end of the day it's your life. Live it the way you want to live it! That includes doing your makeup before you deliver your first born—lots of pictures will be taken, after all.

8. She knows what it's like to feel alone sometimes.

We've all been there, Kourtney. Get the Ben & Jerry's. Run to Redbox. Change into sweatpants and don't leave the couch. It's OK. This is your "Me Time."

9. She gives a whole new meaning to sisters before misters.

It's bad enough when you have to listen to your friends talk about their boyfriend all the time but it's even worse when their boyfriend won't stop talking to them about things of zero importance. Take matters into your own hands.

10. She teaches you all about professionalism.

This is important. In life, professionalism is key. Kourtney understands and has been there many times. It's even worse when you work with your sisters. She is the queen of putting on her professional face and getting work done.

11. She taught us how to trust our intuition.

There is always major drama in the Kardashian household, and somehow Kourtney almost always gets involved. But she knows how to trust her instinct, and it has yet to lead her wrong.

12. She gives great advice.

Call it tough-love, but Kourtney always knows exactly what her friends and family need to hear. Sometimes, we all need to hear it.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
