The struggle of the Christmas season... It's only November and you already feel the Christmas spirit moving through you. You want so badly to begin decking your house out with strings of lights and garland, but you think that it might be too soon. But if you think about it, some people leave their lights up all year round. Other people completely miss the boat and don’t even decorate for Christmas. Isn’t it better to be festive and have your decorations up a little early than to not have any up at all? If you ask me, it is never too soon to put your Christmas cheer on display for the world to see. Here is why:
1. You have waited all year for this.
"I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel."
2. All of the wonderful decorations take quite a bit of time to put up. Its important that you are able to enjoy them.
3. You need a festive thanksgiving. Nothing says festive better than a fully lit Christmas tree.. or six.
Even animated Thanksgivings have Christmas trees in the background.
4. It brings the whole house together.
5. Because Christmas is the best holiday.
6. Because chances are, your decorations wont be the most elaborate in the neighborhood so who cares if you throw them up a few days early.
7. With daylight savings, you need all the extra light you can get!
8. Lights make people happy.
Try not to feel happy while staring and a Christmas tree, I dare you.
9. It gives you an excuse to whip out your Christmas music.
10. It also give you a reason to whip out your Christmas alcohol.
You know you were thinking it, I just put it in writing.
11. You have to decorate early to save up your time so you are able to watch every single minute of 25 Days of Christmas on ABC Family.
12. It provides unlimited amusement for your animals.
Don't let the Scrooges of the world step all over your Christmas cheer!
