12 Things You Learn By Living With Your Best Friend

Come on lemme tell ya 'bout (living with) my best friend!! Ladies and gents, here is an accurate list that describes what it is like in the daily life when you get to live with one of your closest friends.

1. Your clothes are my clothes

Living together and getting ready for events is basically a fashion runway in the making. Whether one of us is getting ready for a date or going for a girl's brunch, I can rely on my bestie to let me know the brutal truth if an outfit is too much, needs a short or long necklace, or is stinkin' cute, each day is basically a huge game of dress up!

2. Late night talks are the best talks

Isn't it wonderful having a friend who you can stay up talking until 2 a.m. and talk over the most random topics? Boys, stories, you name it! Heart to hearts from one sister to the next are true bonding memories that we will never forget.

3. You feel like you need a camera crew following you around to capture your shenanigans

If I had a dollar for every funny moment that my roommate and I share, wowza we'd be rich! (Here is a rare video of us leaving Evans.)

4. Dance par-tayyyyy!!

Schedule:

10 a.m.--dance party

3 p.m.-- dance party

9 p.m.-- dance party

2 a.m.--dance party

Need a study break? Looks like it's time for another dance party!

5. You have an endless amount of chocolate, ice cream, AND cookie dough

Shout out to my best friend for the days where school is extremely overwhelming and I'm greeted when I return with a giant chocolate bar on my desk. (Best roommate ever!) To all of you boys out there, chocolate is the ways to a girl's heart.

6. If you want to date my best friend, I've got to approve

We talk, don't even act like it doesn't happen. I know everything about you, I'm practically an FBI agent, so, boy, you take care of my best friend! I've got my eyes on you.

7. You always have a study buddy

"Wanna hit up the library" isn't even a question. Whether it's 8 p.m. or midnight, you're there for your sister when she's got to study the same way she's there for you with chocolate (see point number five.)

8. Basically you're each others mom

Do you need medicine? I've got it! Chicken noodle soup, peppermint essential oil? No fear, Mom #2 is here!

9. They always let you stick your stuff in their bags

Whether it is your poodle or your handful of bobby pins, your best friend is always reliable when it comes to holding an and all items you don't want to carry. Shout out to all of the bests out there!

10. You have your own secret language

We have many many facial and hand signals that you do across the room when there's more people around us so we basically always know what the other person's thinking.

11. You celebrate each others acomplishments

An A+ on a test? Got the job or organization she was shooting for? Looks like it's time to pop the sparkling grape juice and celebrate!

12. They never let you do stupid things alone

I would like to thank my best friend for always belting Jesus jams and Taylor Swift at the top of our lungs with the windows rolled down at stop lights, walking around like a zombie after songfest, and do yoga in a 12x12 dorm. You da best.

Home skillet, bestie, the peanut butter to my jelly, I am so blessed by you. Thanks for doing life with me and being the best friend and roommate a girl could wish for. Here's to many more memories to come!

XOXO,

Rach

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
