The 11 Types of People You Will Find In Your Friend Group

As our friend groups change, getting bigger and smaller, we all have a circle of girls we consider our "friend group". These are the girls that you have group chats with, go out with, and watch Netflix while eating endless amounts of froyo. Whether your friend groups changes or stays the same, you will likely find one type of each of these girls in your circle of friends:

1. The Out-Going Friend

It doesn't matter who you're with or where are you, this girl will make friends with anyone. She isn't shy to go to new places or with new people. You never have to worry about her tagging along because she's bound to make the night fun no matter what. She makes new friends every where she goes and gives you countless memories and laughs along the way.

2. The Introvert

She's your shy friend. She is slightly hesitant to go out if it's not her normal squad or party. Normally, she'll decline the invite to go hangout at guy's apartment she doesn't know very well, but always appreciates when you extend the offer. She can be loud and outgoing when surrounded by her close friends and will always be there for you no matter what.

3. The B*tch

She'll tell you everything straight up. This girl doesn't care (or is oblivious) and doesn't beat around the bush. She'll tell you if she doesn't like your outfit, if she doesn't want to go the that frat tonight, and so on. You can't even hate her because she's real and can always count on her for an honest opinion even though it can be harsh sometimes. She keeps everyone in the friend group in line, and that's why you love her.

4. The Smart Friend

She's the friend that will disappear for a few days (either studying in the library or attending countless extra curricular meetings) and no one will question it because it is so typical. The chances of you seeing her during the week are slim, but once the weekend hits she's ready to party. Somehow, she parties the same amount as you and will still get a 4.0 which makes the rest of the group salty.

5. The Nosey Friend

You can never leave your phone across the room or whisper something to another friend without hearing "what are you talking about"? She somehow knows secrets and details of everyone's lives (normally without you wanting her to know) and nothing can happen in your life without her knowing. She'll question you about every boy and feel shameless doing it.

6. The "Go with the flow" Friend

This is your go to friend. She will most likely agree with any of the plans the group makes and tag along with anything. She never has a preference on frat, restaurants, pre game spots, and so on. She rolls with the punches and keeps the group sane because she is there in seconds if you ever need her.

7. The Partier

She's a bad influence. If you're trying to stay in, stay away from this friend. She will be out every Wednesday to Saturday night with or without her friends. She is always encouraging and hyping everyone up for the night. She loves to be social and have fun no matter her exam schedule that week.

8. The Friend Who "Never Has It Together"

Nonetheless, she can be the slob of the group. You'll find her shoes all over your apartment when she doesn't even live there, never answers her phone, is always loosing things and somehow sleeps through/misses her classes when they're the same every week. She's always one step behind everyone and can never seem to get off the struggle bus.

9. The Stage 5 Clinger

Every time your phone goes off, it will most likely be her. This friend has no shame in triple texting when you aren't answering and asking the same question 50 times just so she can talk to you. She likes to keep everyone super close to have reassurance every time you see her that "you aren't mad at her". Even though she may drive you a little insane where you turn off your read receipts, she's a fun girl to be around and always has your back.

10. The Primadonna

If you plan on leaving the apartment at 10, you have to tell her you're leaving at 9. She is the girl that takes 3 times the amount of time to get ready than the rest of the group. She makes everyone else look homeless because she is always dressed to impressed with a full face of makeup, even for class. She won't settle for anything less than she thinks she deserves and will sometimes clash with the b*tch of the group. Most of the friends are jealous of her beauty and wardrobe but mostly because she always has her sh*t together.

11. The Boy Obsessed

This is the friend that always has a boy, whether it's a boyfriend, casually dating him or even random hookups. You and your friends try to analyze how she is always texting and hanging out with guys because she can't go one day without them. Once she gets a boyfriend, she disappears for a little, but whenever she comes back to the squad it's like she never left. She sometimes picks bros over ho*s, but in the end, she's a great friend to everyone.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
