There is no one better than your dog! They're the best friend you'll ever have and will never betray you. No one loves or cares about you more than them. Forget to wish them a happy birthday? They won't hate you forever. No one is more willing to pick up spilled food after you or eat your leftovers. One thing you can always count on is a major welcome every time you come home because no one is more excited to spend every second of the day with you. You can spend a whole decade with them and never get tired of their company. Your relationship is the healthiest one you will ever have because they will never lie or betray you. You may pet another dog sometimes when you are at your best friend's house, but they will always forgive you because they know you love them the most.

1. Dogs are loyal to you.

They are there when you need them and will be by your side no matter what you’re going through. They don’t judge you for being emotional or even hold grudges against you when you get angry with them. No matter what crazy thing you did the night before, they will love you.

2. Dogs will make you want to be healthy.

People know that one of the fundamentals of owning a dog is having to take them on walks. Dogs need the exercise and this can only make you healthier because you’ll naturally be more active. What does this do? It makes you exercise more. Woohoo for good health!

3. Dogs make you more responsible.

They naturally require you to put together a daily routine. Whether you get up earlier in the morning to feed and walk them before class, or schedule in more time for the dog park before your shift at work, you are forced to take care of them. It makes you accountable to someone other than yourself.

4. Dogs have an overwhelming capability to love you.

What happens if you throw away their favorite chew toy? A dog will always forgive you because at the end of the day you are their world and their whole life.

5. Dogs help society and not just their owners.

We have hundreds of dogs that work every day with police and are a part of K-9 units. They work to track down drug dealers and catch thieves every day. There are also dogs that work for the community. These dogs are trained for months on end as service pets. They help the blind, the elderly and the ill.

6. Dogs love to go on vacations.

Dogs are more than happy to hop into a car (or their crate) and travel across the country with you to enjoy the sand between their paws at the beach! You can bring them along with your family on those summer road trips.

7. Dogs are always there to eat your scraps.

What is better than having a best friend who is always hungry enough to finish your food? For those times that you’ve eaten too much and feel lame packing up three bites of steak for leftovers, your dog is more than happy to take that load off of your shoulders.

8. Dogs are always down for a nap.

Oh, you want to have a lazy day? No problem. No one is more willing to just cuddle with you while you're watching Netflix or napping for a whole day.

9. Dogs are great comedians.

They find ways to entertain themselves if they get too bored and who doesn't love watching a dog make mistakes? They fall and trip a lot and it's always funny.

10. Dogs are always down to party.

Stressed and need a quick 30-second dance party? Well, those are so much more fun when you have a dancing buddy.

11. Dogs are perfect.

Let’s be real, humans can really suck sometimes, and so can dogs but they’re so much better all of the time. You can always count on them to keep all of your dirty secrets and they don’t judge you when you’ve made a few bad choices.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
